MICKEY MCGRATH CONSTRUCTION

Mickey had discovered water damage on the wood  siding underneath the  deck steps to two rooms  where he had installed new french doors for me. He removed the damaged siding and replaced it with new siding.  He did a good job and everything looks as good as new.  (Of course, I will have a painter come as he doesn't do the painting.) He didn't ask for any payment until the job was complete. His workmanship was good and he finished the job in one day. He cleaned up after himself.   I am pleased to get help from someone with a high standard of workmanship. I know where to go when I have another repair .

Mickey and I worked together for several months before he could actually install the doors.  He helped me get exact measurements for the two doors.  One was an odd size and had to be special ordered.  He coordinated  with the store  where I bought the  doors . When the doors arrived in December, the weather was very rainy. It took several weeks to get them installed for that reason. He did an excellent job and didn't ask for any payment until they were both installed.  He put trim on the outside  around the doors and also inside in the bedrooms. He has a high standard of workmanship. He also let me know about water damage  to the outside of my home near the doors which I had not been aware of and advised me on getting that done. I found him to be honest and professional and easy to work with.  On the last day of installation, I actually was not able to at home due to a commitment I had.  I felt confident in his integrity so I was able to have him work at the house even though I wasn't home. That is something  I do not normally do.  I was quite pleased with the job Mickey did and would hire him again. Also his estimate  for the work was right on. The estimate for the work was $1800. I paid him  $104. extra for trim he had to buy because the trim I had ordered from the door company didn't cover the outside  around the door  sufficiently.  He was also very punctual  really good at keeping in touch as the work progresssed.
