Meridian Computer

I had an old desk top computer - older than I want to admit.  I had been planning to replace it for some time and in fact purchased a new computer three months ago.  It will still in the box in my closet.  I am the accountant for a small water company in a rural area outside of San Jose.  I have software which is specifically for billing in small water companies.  This billing and posting of payments is a key activity I do on this computer.

About a week and a half ago, I had trouble with the old computer and it was almost non-functional.  I went to Angie's list to look for someone to help as I was in a state of panic.  I spoke with Sam and he came out to my house within a day or so.  He confirmed that the computer was non-functional. He disconnected it and took it to his shop where he diagnosed a failed video card.  He replaced that card and backed up my files, including a backup file I had from the water billing software on a flash drive. Yesterday evening, he returned to my house and helped with the set up of the new computer including the initial set up, loading Office 365, loading the software for my printer, and finally loading the software for the water company billing.  Then he loaded all of my backup up files.

Sam knew what he was doing and the work was done very efficiently.  All was ready to go in about an hour and a half.  The price was very reasonable.

I have been using my new computer for several hours today and it's running perfectly. I recommend Meridian for any computer repair and/or service needs.

I called on a Saturday morning. Sam returned my call quite promptly and came to my house that same afternoon. The system connected with the monitor once then stopped again. It made sense that he take it to his shop but I was reluctant to let my hard drive go too. He removed it and left it with me. At his shop he used his own hard drive and the system worked. He brought the unit back to my house but when setup would connect with monitor but then crash. He removed the hard drive again, leaving it with me, and took the unit back to his shop. As it was my hard drive causing the problem, he put in a new hard drive and when I picked up the unit I took my hard drive which he also added to the unit. I am ever so grateful that my data was intact and I am able to copy and or move it to the new hard drive (and a backup unit this time) and the system is working perfectly.

Sam is very knowledgeable and extremely patient.
I really did not want to buy a new unit right now. The cost was very reasonable. He actually spent much more of his own time then if I had taken the unit to his shop to begin with.
I highly recommend him and though I hope I don't need his services again he would be the one I'd call if I did.

Overall, it is reliable and competent, I recommend it and will return as needed.

They are reasonably priced and do quality work. They are professional and answer to the point. They are very honest and do not exaggerate problems. They are quick and do a good job. I like their services and will use the same in future.

I called this firm and several others to explore what could be done and at what price. I was quite impressed with Meridian's prompt return of my phone message, its quick recognition of what I wanted to do and why, its ability to turn around the job in one day and its reasonable price for the job. I will definitely return to the firm for any service or repairs I may need in the future.

They are very quick and very good. My son had downloaded something that shut down my computer. They got it going again in no time. They are reasonably priced for home repair. My daughter even takes her computer to him whenever she has a little problem. We always use his services.
