Contractor signed a contract, and promised to deliver job within 2 months. After 6 months, project was not complete, contractor was not responsive, many parts of the work were poorly done.   Despite having the designers plans and despite having my designer to work with, contractor incorrectly installed a large electrical panel on a main kitchen wall- that had to be removed and moved to another location. Despite having my  designer and her plans, contractor did not drill enough holes in granite backsplashes to install electrical. Contractor claimed cabinets took 10 weeks to build and claimed he could have cabinets built in 2 weeks. Two cabinet contractors confirmed that several cabinet "reveals" cannot be properly aligned. One cabinet drawer disintegrated when it was bumped.  Several cabinets were installed with chips and nicks. The contractor promised that he could fix the pocket doors which were sticking as a result of the remodel. He had his crew jam shims in the door jams, gouging the doors -then requested I pay to repair the gouges. The kitchen floor is wood and contractor did not adequately sand and stain floor. The kitchen wood floor  has two noticeable different colors. The hood over the cooktop was installed with a warp. My second contractor noted improper installation of hood that caused the warp. Contractor removed old refrigerator by rolling it over my wood floors, leaving deep gouges.    The wood floor new requires major floor resanding. I hired a second contractor to finish the work. I hired a second cabinet maker to repair the cabinets, and door jams. I will have to hire a floor sanding company to sand and stain the floors.
