Mike Castillo was helpful in my house project. He installed over 1000 sq ft of Coretech, Luxury Vinyl Tile ( LVT) (Alabaster color ) for me. I was his first Customer using this material when it first hit the market and he’s been specializing and recommending it since. He was responsive to accomodate my special requests to put the darker pieces in high traffic areas, while the blended lighter pieces in strategic areas, still keeping a blended look throughout. This was a decision I’m glad I made and that he was kind enough to accomodate. He leveled a difficult floor too. He also tiled a bathroom with 12X 12 tiles, and did his best with an un leveled floor there too. He will caution you about toilets being tricky with old floors versus new floors being different heights, and un leveled subfloors. I was lucky, but somewhere 8 years later when I got a new toilet, I had to have a Plumber shim the re-install under a new toilet, and there were very little issues with having a simple plastic shim fix the issue. I mention so folks know what to expect with Mike. He’s honest up front and I took my chances that all would be fine, and am satisfied. Next run of work will be a laundry backsplash and a redo of a couple of failed planks that lifted ( not his fault). He also helped me to replace a second level story home with same material and re -did 4 flights of stairs with particle board and carpet to using white rising boards and put LVT on the tops of stairs with bullnose. He pulled out baseboard in a bathroom, but when it came to caulking holes in baseboards and on 4 flights of stairs, plus painting, he explained that was not his forte. I had hired a painter to help me with the detailed finish work, to keep Mike on his way doing what he does best ( floors). Price was very reasonable, compared to real hardwood, where I would have paid thousands more. He does hardwood floor work too. Have him measure your square footage twice, and verify it, so you don’t have to buy extra boxes of material that will delay your project. It happened to me, but we got thru it. To date, I’m a satisfied customer and would recommend him.

Mike Castillo did 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms at my house in Elk Grove, Ca. It took two days. The tear out and install was under 4,000 $. Mike Castillo did a good job and has been doing floor as a youngster with his father for 40 years. Mike also did flooring and baseboards at my brothers entire house which also came out fabulous. Great work and 2 nd generation experience. I would highly recommend Mike for all your flooring needs.

Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our LVP flooring. He is very experienced and knowledgeable with all flooring types and did an excellent job with our installation. We would definitely recommend him and will be using him for future projects!

I have hired Mike for multiple floor jobs, ranging from nail down hardwood, to floating laminate and LVP. He ALWAYS delivers superior results. Even with scheduling delays on my end, he has been more than accommodating and worked my projects in a timely manner. 100% will use Mike in the future for any of my hardwood/laminate/LVP needs.
