Lykin's Tile

Jim is an individual operate owner. He did some tile work for is after we had a house fire and he was the sub-contractor and he did such a wonderful job. The general contractor that we used is very finicky, so we had him come back and tile the family room. The tile work he did is first class and the tile that he put in 6 years ago is also still first class, and nothing has gone wrong with it. The quality of his work is good and he does incredibly beautiful work. I did not want my husband lifting the furniture in our family room because it is a big room with a lot of heavy furniture, so we paid him in advance to come in and move all the furniture out. Last night he came in and moved all furniture back in and that included reassembling a great big desk and credence and other things, and is prepared to do all that kind of stuff too. We picked out the tile and he went and picked up at the place and is a very professional man. At the last minute we decided that we wanted the tiles to go in diagonally so it came in a diamond patter, instead of side by side with the kitchen tiles. He did that and was still got the job done on time and we can?t speak highly enough about him. It is nice to have a contractor that does not make a big mess and not show up. He gives you the timing and all the information about when the tiles can be walked on. He also cleans up after himself, so you don?t have to do it yourself. The price was originally $3,000, but when we turned the angle of the tile it made it a more difficult job with a lot more cutting to do. He was going to bump it up to $5,000, but hen he was done he said he was going to bump back down to $4,000 because he got it done more quickly than he expected to.
