This company is an expert in moisture control!  The owner Walt coordinated  this project and was a delight to work with.   He provided excellent explanation on the work to be done.  His team was timely, punctual, neat and professional.  The project took nearly a week to complete and I was delighted with the results.

I was pleased with the detail that went into the inspection, their knowledge of building code, and with the report issued. This was bank-owned home which had no information about wheter there were any issues with the house. So this detailed inspection, aside from a normal property inspection, gave us greater confidence that nothing major was wrong with the house

Good. Would recommend for foundation inspection. Haven't contracted with them to actually fix anything yet but might get a quote from a few competing firms before deciding. Overall, I paid ~$500 for the inspection and was satisfied by the level of detail and service in regards to the inspection.

It’s fairly pricey but they did a very good job. If you really want a professional and expert opinion, you should use this company.

We had a bad experience with them. Their inspection didn't really show that our house might flood underneath. We had some issues with them and took them to Small Claims Court. The experience was very poor. The report indicated it might be a plumbing leak and not that it might flood. We don't think they gave us accurate information about the history of the house and that it might have crawlspace flooding problems. It flooded the very first winter; it was like a swamp under our house. We had also hired them to fix some foundation things after we bought the house and they didn't fix everything. They didn't spend much time here and they charged us a lot of money for not fixing everything. We had them give us an estimate to do the work after the flood, but we really didn't want them to do the work. They responded okay on the estimate, but they did not claim responsibility for what they hadn’t done right. They didn’t give us a good report when we bought the house.

They are an excellent company. They weren’t cheap but nobody was because it was a lot of work.

First, I will say that Larrabee is a very professional outfit with a lot of experience and judgment in my opinion. Everything went very well, and we are happy with the work. My first impression was that they were expensive ( 13K plus permit fees) for a 1400 sq ft house, but I eventually came to realize that they do a quality job which takes a lot longer than you might expect. It ended up to be six whole days, for a three man crew...or 18 person days. They replaced all of the interior piers (close to 50) when a lot of folks would just shim them all. They ensured that the new piers were braced/fastened to the girders, etc. They worked hard, and were always extremely professional. I would highly recommend their services as foundation work is something that you don't to have done by someone who doesn't do a quality job.
