KAPPEN PAINTING

Reed is incompetent...avoid him at all costs. We fired Reed when work was not completed more than one month late (7 weeks total) on a 1 week job. We have incurred significant damage and expense undoing his shoddy workmanship. Caulking and prep were amateurish at best. Paint coverage was spotty, paint globs show. He didn't paint all sides of door trim. Paint on doors/trim and in bathrooms peeled because prep was not done. Cabinets doors were taken off site for work but came back unfinished weeks later. Cabinets were poorly painted and not finished when we fired him. Remounted cabinet doors are off level and he lost a hinge. No primer was applied to living room ceiling as agreed. On baseboards, after purchasing materials and starting installation, he admitted not knowing how to cope baseboards. He cut all miters as though walls were 90 degrees and tried to fill gaps with Bondo. He refused to bring in assistance despite repeated requests.
