ROLAND KAPLAN HAS BEEN TUNING OUR PIANO YEARLY, FOR 25 YEARS. HE ALSO DOES THE PIANOS FOR SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY. HE IS VERY RESPONSIVE. IN FACT HE'S APPOLOGETIC IF HE CAN'T COME WITHIN A WEEK OF WHEN YOU CALL HIM. HE IS VERY PATIENT AND TAKES AS MUCH TIME (OFTEN A COUPLE OF HOURS) AS IS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB TO HIS SATISFACTION. HE HAS ALSO DONE PIANO REPAIRS FOR US IN PREVIOUS YEARS AND DOES THEM WELL. HE GIVES GOOD ADVICE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF AN INSTRUMENT AND WHETHER IT NEEDS REPAIR BEYOND TUNING. I RECOMMENDED HIM TO THE MUSIC DIRECTOR AT MY CHURCH AND SHE LOVES HIS WORK.
