K S CALIFORNIA AUTO BODY SHOP

K S California Auto Body was one of the three body shops recommended to me by State Farm Insurance after an accident on the freeway. My initial experience was positive: the shop was conveniently located, offered a pull-up estimator service, and handled all the paperwork with State Farm. That's where the convenience ended, since I have been back twice to have problems with my repairwork corrected!
My left front end was damaged in the collision, requiring replacement of one headlamp, the grill, and bumper, as well minor work on the hood. The repairs took nine days and I was told that I would receive daily texts to keep me informed of the progress on the repair. No texts came until I called, and then I was inundated with five texts at once; clearly, K S had forgotten to send the texts. Strike 1.
When I picked up the car, I had one beautiful, crystal-clear new headlamp and one headlamp that was...well, eleven years old. I had been told that the old headlamp would be polished so that both matched, but that job, too, was forgotten. Strike 2.
As I inspected the work done on the car, I noticed that the grill was still scratched, as it had been after the accident! When I called, they had forgotten to replace the grill; the new one was still in their shop. I took the car in to have the headlamp polished and the grill replaced. Strike 3...but they're still swinging!
Three weeks after I picked up the car, the left front turn signal fell out; the whole apparatus just fell out! When I took the car back, I was told that I had probably leaned against it and broken it myself. It wasn't broken in the accident on the freeway, it was broken when I leaned against it! Strike 4! K S is out as a contender for my future business...and should be for yours as well.
To their credit, K S California Auto Body did fix each issue, but these are things that shouldn't have happened in the first place

First class job from start to finish: took care of the paper work for my insurance company, would have arranged a rental car if I had needed it, even washed the car and cleaned all the windows before I picked it up.
