Purchased a new dishwasher, needed someone to remove the old dishwasher and install the new one. Contacted JP Appliance Repair, was quickly given a quote which I felt was a fair price for the work. The installation team arrived on-time, did a superior job performing the de-install and install. They left the work area neat/clean. Will call again if I need any help with my appliances. Went well. Two of them arrived, were very professional, wearing masks and shoe covers. They took apart the drainage hoses and tested them out, tested the water drained properly, reinstalled everything. They were done in 45 minutes. I liked that they did not push bigger repairs to try to make a quick buck. Two things they could have done better: (1) they had said they would charge $65 for diagnosis, but they charged me $125 which felt high as they did not do anything else (still, it is a reasonable price, so I'm ok(, and (2) they did not align the dishwasher properly when reconnecting it, so now its door bumps against the edge of the cabinet (not a showstopper, but irritating nonetheless).

I hesitate to write a bad review but they were not able to properly diagnose or fix my dryer. A repairman from another company was subsequently able to fix on their first visit. After a 2 hr diagnostic visit JP determined I needed a replacement temperature guage (I think that was the part). They ordered the part and returned to install a few days later. Even though the heat now came on, after they left it was clear the dryer was not fixed. The head did not stay on. They researched and said the only other part they could think to replace was a part that was no longer available and which had no replacement. After I complained that I had paid for the diagnostic visit, the part, and the installation for something that did not fix the problem, they refunded the labor for the installation only. I was still out for the unsuccessful diagnostic visit and the part. I then arranged for another company to look at the machine. The new company immediately diagnosed a bad solenoid valve. They had a spare part with them so they installed and fixed the machine that same day. These guys may be ok for some stuff but they did not know what they were doing with the dryer. Seems like a solenoid should be a pretty standard fix.

They did an excellent job, and found the issue during their thorough diagnostic. Will hire again!

It went excellent. JP Appliance Repair did an excellent job. Two techs came within hours of my call and spent the needed time to diagnose the exact problem. Then they ordered the part and followed up until the part arrived. As soon as the part came in, they came and installed it. The refrigerator works very well now. As a side note, the two techs were extremely conciouncicus and friendly. They wore masks, took off their shoes before entering the house, did not touch any of the food (it is COVID-19 period) and fully cleaned up when the repair was completed. I highly recommend JP Appliance Repair.
