The biggest mistake  I  ever made in my life  was hiring Jessie James  Roofing to  re-roof my house and install new gutters. What a disaster!  A month after it was put on it leaked water in the middle of summer and it wasn't even raining! How could that be possible you ask?  Well folks my new roof would not divert the morning dew into the gutters!  This observation lead to reopening my  building permit  and thoroughly inspecting the entire installation. The following is a list of installation blunders as documented by the city of San Jose Building Department. Unapproved decking. Insufficient nailing. Lack of drip edge into the gutters. Overexposed material. Exposed nails. One rafter left with out support. Spray paint on large areas of  new shingles. I allowed  Jessie James Roofing  to tear it all off and re-roof again. That was the second biggest mistake I ever made. Jessie James Roofing repeated some of the same mistakes they made the first time. Exposure, nailing and more spray paint! Draw your own conclusions folks. Here is some advise on composition roofing material. Pick a product that has the installation instructions printed in English and in Spanish located on the wrapper. Make sure that everyone that has access to your roof fully understands the installation instructions. Make sure your roofer can read!  Make sure you read the instructions yourself, you might be the only one who did. Finally , before you sign a contract have your potential roofer supply you with addresses of his work, drive by and notice his pattern layout [the diagonal]. He?s always been very good and they took care of the problem when I needed it taken care of. I got his name when my neighbor got his roof replaced by this company. He's a good guy and it's a small company; he comes out for the job himself.

They did a complete inspection of the roof. They were able to repair my leaks & didn't charge me an arm & a leg. They do a nice job & he has been in business a long time.
