Halcyon Overhead Door is based in San Jose. We are locally owned and operated, and have over 20 years experience serving the South Bay, Peninsula and East Bay installing and servicing residential and commercial doors and openers for thousands of satisfied customers. We carry all the major brands (NorthWest, Amarr, Clopay, Holmes, Genie, Linear and LiftMaster) and offer a wide range of models and styles of both garage doors and openers to suit your individual needs. In addition to our quality garage door products, we also offer and install RaceDeck garage floor tiles. These rubberized tiles are a great way to “finish” your garage. As well as being attractive, the tiles add warmth and safety, and are durable and easy to clean. Yet with all the quality products we offer at Halcyon, our #1 product is our SERVICE -- fast, friendly, and affordable. Since we’re locally based and have focused our service on the South Bay, Peninsula and East Bay we’re able to offer you an outstanding level of individualized customer service. Our owners are very hands-on and are an integral part of the day-to-day operation of the business. I was in a bit of a tizzy because the car was stuck in the garage. I called Halcyon and talked to Beth. She was very calming and understanding of my need to at the very least liberate my car, since I had appointments the next morning. She was able to give me a window of time to expect one of two technicians (depending on who was available first). I got Dennis. He got the door unjammed and worked with it to see that the the limit switch and electronics seemed to be functioning properly. He did general service on the door as well. There wasn't an apparent cause for the door to have run past the limit and it performed correctly when tested multiple times, so we decided to treat it as a fluke, but if it happened again, it might mean I need to replace my aged opener. I was very pleased with my interactions with both Beth and Dennis.

PERFECT! Anthony came, assed the situation with half of the recommendations other had provided. On time, focused, extremely pleasant to work with. Cost was less than half of what others quoted. He is excellent. I would hire again in a minute!

They did a great job ! I've used Halcyon in the past for repairs and parts but this was the first new installation. They continue to excel and exceed my expectations. They responded quickly, and were able to show up the same day and get the job completed in about 90 minutes. The area was cleaned after the work performed and Anthony took some time to explain the new keypad, remotes and programming functions of the optional app in case I decided to download and use it. He really took his time and and did a great job. I will use them again and I highly recommend them.

Halcyon was very responsive from my first phone call through final installation. On the first call they collected some preferences for the new door and emailed me a quote as well as scheduled someone to come out and measure. At the measuring appointment I confirmed which door I wanted from the catalog, the quote was finalized, and I made the initial deposit. Then the door was ordered and once available installation was scheduled. They arrived on time and had the old door removed and the new door and opener installed in about 4-5 hours. The new door works great!

On Monday night, I discovered that the garage door was not working ... one of the springs was broken. Tuesday morning I called and they set me up with an appointment for that day. The technician (Jon) arrived right on time. The repair only took 1 hour. I have used Halcyon on other occasions and have always been pleased, as was the case this time. I highly recommend them and will continue to use them.
