About us
Joan Tesauro is a distinguished interior decorator and tastemaker best known for her enchanting take on interiors and her distinctive personal style. In addition to residences Tesauro has designed select offices, restaurants, salons and retail environments in the Bay Area. There is no limit to her project scope she is comfortable designing an entire home or just picking out the right pillows for a sofa. Chosen for HGTV’s American Home segment for innovative wall dividers, Joan thinks outside of the box, and has a can-do attitude. Originally from Long Island NY, years of studying art and design in NYC and Italy as well as extensive world travel and shopping trips for fashion and home décor have cultivated an eye for extreme design. Tesauro received her BFA from the Syracuse University College of Visual and Performing Arts. She currently resides in San Jose, California

"I really enjoyed Member and her family . Their new home is beautiful. If I may clarify: Based on the scope of work presented to me for Amy's home, I came up with several different ways to make the project more economical for The Family. Since the Member had many ideas of her own and would like the option of doing some of the design work and purchasing herself I suggested an hourly fee of $100 per hour. My basic rate is $150 but since she lives close by my studio I offered to lower the price per hour of my normal hourly rate. I also offered Amy the option of a 20 hour package at the rate of $50 per hour. For $100 Amy recieved a 1 hour in home consultation as well as a 1 hour paint consultaion. Thus she received 2 hours of documented design time with me as well as unaccounted for time on the phone and email. I appreciate and accept her feedback and it really was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet with Amy and her family."
