They were very knowledgeable although expensive for home theatre installation. That being said, this was not a simple installation and also involved adding flush mount speakers in wall and running wire behind baseboards, casement and installing two TVs on wall with mounts, running wire behind walls.

Last night noticed after several years that my the vent on my dryer was never connected properly to my dryer. After spending several hours cleaning up all the lent out of the back, bottom wall etc. I called the geek squad (Jo B. a Best Buy manager)- told me since that it was not noticed within 30 days that they will only send someone to fix it if I pay for a reinstallation. I advised them that that a connection was never put on the clamp. Since I own a few houses I have bought 2 dryers, 3 refrigerators, 2 wash machines and 1 oven from them that I believe they should replace it at a goodwill gesture especially since I had already paid for an installation. This installation would have installed two clamps one on the wall and one on the dryer. I had one clamp installed. This is and was a safety issue. I am extremely sad of the lack that Best Buy does not stand behind their service.

Called day before and left message.  Called day of and gave arrival time, showed up when promised, wore booties to keep floor clean, were very respectful of all the furniture.  Had to move an old extremely heavy TV off the stand and did so without complaint.  Let me dust stand, put new TV where it should go, hooked up peripherals, called cable company to get authorization.  Taught me how to use remotes even.  Left in about an hour and left me happy.

I can sometimes "fiddle" around to fix some computer problems if I struggle long enough with my device.  Usually, however, I make things worse, or get lost in the weeds.  On those occasions, I go to the nearest Best Buy's Geek Squad for help; this can be done with or without an and appointment.  Although I have access to a 24/7 Geek Squad technician support over the phone,  I prefer taking my device to an in-store Best Buy Geek Squad Agent (technician) for help since I feel I can explain things better face-to-face with the device rather than over the phone.  

I have found all Geek Squad Agents very professional, friendly, understanding and (mostly) patient with "technophobes" like me!  One thing is, however, not all agents are created equal in diagnosing and fixing my issues in-store and on the spot.  On those occasions, I have to leave my device for a couple of days while other agents resolve the problem which they do very well.  However, there is an agent at the Dublin, California Best Buy store by the name of "John"; he's a wizard!  He can quickly and confidently diagnose a problem and fix it without leaving my tablet behind for others to do it.  I am over joyed as a result!   But to be clear:  whether it's John or other agents, my issues are always resolved and most of all, I trust them.

It took over2 hours on the phone to set up this appointment and I could barely understand the person at the Geek Squad. The instruction were that they would call 1/2 hour before arrival (so I could leave work to meet them) of my 12 noon to 4PM time slot scheduled for the 21st. I scheduled on the 16th .


I never got a call and when I got home that night there was a note that they came at noon to 12:20 and I would need to call to reschedule. I got on the phone to do so, on hold for over 1 hour (the recorded operator said it would be 20 minute). Once I got a rep it took over a half hour for him to figure out what happened and maybe it will get fixed. They claimed they called my home number but there was no message or note that I had missed a call and I gave specific instruction to call my cell. I am scheduled no for Tuesday the 28th from noon to 4 PM and t hey are supposed to call again on my work phone 1/2 hour early so I can meet them.

I used them years ago to install a home theater system and it all worked out well. However, it will take an awful lot for them to impress me now as I have already spent a total of 3.33 hours trying to set this up.


I have not been this frustrated with a service provider in years! I hope they actually notify me and show up as promised and can do the work.

The worst part was trying to make the appointment.  It took me 3 phones calls (kept getting dropped from queue line) and being transferred at least 4 times totaling about 50 minutes before successfully making an appointment.  At one  point I was told I'd have to sit on hold for 15 minutes for someone to take my credit card information.  I told them, when that line was clear, they could call me back!
They did.  They give you a 4 hour window for the service.  Two guys showed up right in the middle of the time slot and fixed the problem within 5 minutes.  They guys were knowledgeable, quick and polite.    It's the customer service on the phone that needs to be improved.

Straightforward.  They had plenty of stock.  Left me alone to browse and evaluate the options.  I had been to other stores, seen other prices and availability and checked out things online - I needed a TV NOW so not buying online.  When I was convinced that they had what I wanted in stock, it was easy to find a sales person who was fast and efficient.  He offered but did not linger on the extended warranty and was very helpful in pointing out the location of the cost effective but sufficient HDMI cable that I did need.  I walked out with minimal fuss, sure that I had gotten a quality TV for its class and with minimal hassle.

This company did six hours of work and only charged me for three. They repaired my spyware on my home computer. I was so impressed with this employee that I even fed him dinner for staying late to fix my computer. The employee did call me back and checked up on my computer to see if it was working correctly. I was very happy with the work done.
