Unfortunately, before I found Jeff Francisco and Francisco Tile, I had hired a different tile guy who completely screwed things up. The prior guys sealed my natural stone tile and didn't wipe off the excess sealant, and it cured on the tile surface and ruined $4,000 worth of tile. Jeff was recommended by a local tile shop and I asked him to come out to my house and take a look. When he visited, instead of simply offering to replace all the tile, a very expensive proposition, he instead recommended that we "re-hone" the tile which was considerably less expensive. He also needed to patch or replace about 15% of the tiles due to cracks caused by the other sub-contractors. Jeff's guys were always on time, friendly and did flawless work, perfect alignment of the tiles and professional finish. It was a pleasure to deal with him and his company and I'd happily work with him again. I wish I had hired him in the first place.

WHAT I LIKEDCountertop - They did a great job on cutting the countertop to cover the uneven surfaces. They spent a lot of attention to get that right.Backsplash - I did a lot of experimenting with the layout. And changed it a few times. The tile guy was very patient and good natured, even though I made a lot of extra work. ASummary - The final result is excellent and looks very good.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKEThey gave me a date they would start and then started almost a week later. So I spent that extra amount of time without my kitchen. They left the place a mess! It took me a day to clean up. Partly because they should have sealed off the kitchen to keep the stone dust from going everywhere. I had to wipe down or vaccum every surface in the downstairs. The electric outlets were left hanging out of the wall. I had to go get special screws to connect them. I found them at the second hardware store I went to. So working with them was a pain.

The owner came out and measured everything, and listened to everything I wanted. I wanted to make sure it wasn't too high walking in, and he made it so it was barely noticeable. His people were very well qualified.
