Evergreen Painting and Texture painted the exterior of my two-story home in October 2010. Over the last few years, the paint has failed in a number of areas. More specifically, the paint has cracked and peeled in several areas on the trim and facia boards. The caulking at the base of the front upper story windows has again cracked and needs to be re-caulked and repainted. The paint on the stucco has also peeled and faded in several areas and the previous color of the stucco is visible along the edges of many areas of the roughly textured surface. In general, the work did not withstand the elements well and the quality of the work on the second story, which is less visible from the ground, is much poorer than what was done on the first story. Although the contract's 5 year warranty covered the preparation and repainting of these areas free of charge for both labor and materials, Hugo Guerra, the owner, did not respond to my October 2015 request for warranty work, despite the fact that the request was made in writing within the warranty period.
"The above complaints was filed by [Member Name Removed] to the California State License Board in 2014, case #NA2013004241. After several months and a thorough investigation of the same complaints listed above, they determined that there was no "evidence" to proceed with any further action. The California State Licensing Board found that Mr. [Member Name Removed] did not present "clear and convincing to a reasonable certainty". The case/complaint was dismissed on April 21, 2014."
