Our Persian rug was one of a few casualties of a mold infestation that we encountered a couple of months ago.  A shower faucet had leaked behind our wall for long enough to require the need for a mold remediation company.  The first person, in a long list of contractors, was fortunately Gerald from Dynamic, who we found both on YELP and Angie's List, instantly put our minds at rest at ease as far as knowing our valued rug was in good hands.  The mold had eaten into the fabric that was underneath our antique desk so Gerald had to first thoroughly clean the 6ft X 9ft rug and then patch the holes.  His company is capable of actually re-weaving the rug but, in order to match the pattern, etc., the cost ramped up to a point where  we opted for the 'clean 'n patch' option, but I was impressed with their expertise to do the re-weave.  Gerald was kind enough to keep our carpet until the mold remediation was completed last week.  His pricing was extremely reasonable and that, mixed with his obviously strong work ethic, has made him our lifelong carpet expert & go to guy.

My most recent experience: I tripped and spilled a full cup of coffee on our light-colored Berber living room carpet over Christmas.  I immediately soaked the stain with water (Gerald recommends against using chemical cleaners), which helped; but a pale stain remained.  When I finally found time to call Dynamic, Gerald called me back within minutes, and made an appointment for a few days later.  Because he had earlier appointments, he gave me a  two-hour window for his arrival; I work nearby, so he phoned me when he was on his way after his previous appointment, and I met him at the house.  He charges a minimum of $125 for a visit.  For that amount, he offered to clean not only the large stain, but my entire living room carpet, and the traffic areas on a nearby stair landing and in an adjoining sitting room (all of which needed it). i have come to trust him completely; so I prepaid him and went back to work, asking him to latch the door when he left. He told me that coffee can sometimes be a challenge to remove fully, and said he would call me with the results. After spending almost two hours at the house, he called to report that the carpets were clean and the stain was gone. He warned that occasionally a stain can reappear, working its way back up from the underlying pad, and said if that happened, he would return to reclean the area -- at no charge.  When I got home that night, the entire area was beautifully cleaned - as usual - and there is no sign of the stain re-emerging.  This was a minor visit, but it is typical of our positive experience with Dynamic.

SafeGuard Carpet Care did good work, and were very careful. Also, they completed the work in a timely fashion.
