This is our third use of Duran Fencing. Their quality and workmanship is as good as ever. They promised it would be a one day job; they came at 7:15 and were done by 1 PM including clean up and taking away the old fence. It is a beautiful wooden fence.

The quality of the resulting fence was great! We would recommend Duran and would use them again.
The only reason we gave a and quot;Band quot; on price was that after the original quote, they came back and said they had incorrectly quoted a section as 24' when it was actually 34'. We had based our vendor selection decision on the original quote, and had already distributed the quote to our neighbors who were sharing in the payment for shared fence lines. I would expect the additional cost associated with an incorrect measurement taken by the vendor, should be eaten by the vendor. That's why the vendor comes out, does measurements, so they can give an accurate quote.

Beautiful wood, excellent construction of 6+ foot redwood fence with lattice. Strong, deep holes, pressure treated posts set in concrete. Gates and hardware are also top notch. Jess is professional and great to work with.

Although Duran came in with one of the highest bids of five fencing companies, we went with them because they seemed very professional and committed to doing a high quality job. However, there was about a 2-week delay in starting the project. Duran stated this was because the quality of wood we were paying for was not available. We were accepting of this since we wanted a nice looking fence even if we had to wait. Once the lumber finally came in, the two man crew put up the fence in the time promised. They did a great job in terms of workmanship. However, about one fourth of the fence had bad boards (permanent black marks on them and not the quality we expected). Once we were able to get hold of Duran, they did come out and replace the bad boards. Overall, we were happy with the fence workmanship but disappointed in the lumber used, especially since we had paid for top quality.

They arrived late. The wood they used for the boards was low quality. They did not respond to multiple request after dozens of the knots in the fence began to pop out and only after 3 days! Only after a written complaint to Diamond Certified did they respond. Workmanship of the workers was top notch and that is why I would consider using them again, even with the poor customer service.

Jess came out very promptly and gave me an estimate. I called a few days later to have him return when my husband was home and revise the gate plan. He drew it up exactly how I pictured it. We waited about 2 weeks for the installation. 3 fellows showed up as expected and Jess soon followed to make sure everyone understood how the build was to go. The 3 guys worked like a true team and had the whole job done in less than 4 hours. The job is very well done, strong, good looking and great quality. They used beautiful heart redwood. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank You Jess.

They were very good about accommodating my requests and I am very happy with the fence.

Jesse came out to survey the job---gave an estimate--and his boys started work within a week. About 60 feet of fencing was replaced with new material and this took two days---the first for settng the uprights and allowing the cement to set.

The initial phone call was very good. I was able to describe the services needed and an appointment was scheduled for within a few days. A representative showed up, as promised, and we walked through the back yard area to discuss options for repair and replacement. The guy did an excellent job of making recommendations and providing a detailed drawing of his suggestions - including price options.
The work commenced a few weeks later - yes, I would have preferred a shorter window, but they were really busy. The work was done over a 2 day period...not within 1 day as promised, but again that was due to their resources and lack of availability.
All in all I was really satisfied with the quality of the work - it's excellent. We also did some comparason shopping on pricing and this company is very competative. Even though we got moved around a bit on their schedule, it was worth the wait. The attendion to detail was very impressive and this is a company who truly takes pride in their work.

Used them to replace an old redwood fence on the back. They came in at a better price than others we checked with. Crew came out and installed in less than a day - very professional in the install. However re realized that the wood they had described to us as commonly used for the fence was not what we had asked for. They quoted us on common construction redwood instead of all heart without explaining the differences correctly. It turns out that if one gets common construction redwood - it is a mix of every possible color of fence boards. Now we have a very uneven color range fence and will require us to stain it to bring some aesthetics to it. When we let the management know about this - they were quite unapologetic about that fact that they did not explain the differences between wood types in terms of fence board colors. They put the blame on us for not having specified that we wanted an even looking color range for all boards (which for us was implicit - no one would want a fence with boards ranging from near white to dark red).

While their service apart from this was good we may not use them again since they misled us and did not guide us well. For a mere $300 more (on a job of over $2500) we could have had a nice looking in addition to strong fence - but they seemed indifferent when told about this. We now have an additional fence stain labor we have to spend on - which would have been unnecessary if boards were selected better. Highly recommend that you get all wood options quoted and samples shown to you before placing order.

I had a problem with the gate closure and the fence discoloration. I didn't really like the quality. I might use them again.

Like clock work. They had also arranged for a PGand E rep to be here to advise if there was a gas line near the fence. There wasn't, and for cable and telephone techs to test for buried lines near the fence--there are none. The team arrived at 8 am. They finished around 3 pm. All the old fencing was taken away. Dirt removed from digging the post-holes was carefully redistributed. They left no mess. The fence is beautiful. A First Class Operation.

Jess visited and provided a written quote within a few minutes. Their crew arrived and finshed the replacement on time. Easy company to work with.

We chose Duran Fencing because they focused on the details. They made sure that the property line was followed when they installed the fencing (apparently the previous company did not as the fence was off by several inches and was not a straight line). They were clean, professional and quick. We will only use Duran Fencing in the future.

Jess Duran came out and gave me a quote and took the time to state various different scenarios for my fence. I had 2 other quotes and the prices were approximately the same as Duran. Duran patiently answered all my questions about the fencing and later offered to remove a large privet for free that needed to come out. They completely removed the large privet and took out 2 other old privet stumps. The fence looks absolutely great! I paid for common redwood but the wood looks more like heartwood. It has very few knots. The new gate also looks great and has upgraded hardware on it. They also fixed a broken split rail fence and it looks much better and is more solid than I ever expected. Duran (Jesus was the foreman) installed 3 new posts with 2 new rails and arranged the posts and the new and old rails so that they interlock, which they did not do before, making the old fence more solid than when new.

They did a great job. The fence looks great. Every contractor I have had since who has looked at the fence has commented on the quality of the job.

The estimate process went very well; however, the estimator came out to our house a bit late due to a conflict. We had a little bit of difficulty with scheduling the work because of the complexity of the arrangement. Our neighbor received a independent bid for fences bordering other homes and the front office staff was a little confused when I had called to schedule my work. Despite those two hiccups, the we were *extremely* pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the crew. I would consider using them for future work (hopefully not needed anytime soon), and would recommend without reservations to friends.

We had a difficult situaton with our neighbors with whom we were splitting the "good neighbor" fence and Jess Duran was able to effectively manage both the project and our crabby neighbors! The two fences and gate that Duran built for us were hand built, not pre-made pieces. They were efficent, exceedingly polite, and took great pains to clean up their work areas both day. The lumber they brought was fresh cut that morning and even though we chose to use concommon board, it is extremely beautiful and knot-free! I would recommend Duran fencing to anyone.

We had a fence fall over due to the weather. We had to repair the fence. We went through multiple bids, and Duran had one of the better pricings as well as quality. It was a confirmation that they were a good contractor.

It went okay. I had a little problem with one fence, but I am very satisfied. I think the actual work was done as described. I did have one gate longer than the other. I felt this mistake lacked in observation skills. They did maintain their schedule very well.

Although work was scheduled several weeks in advance for a Thursday, Friday...work was delayed by one day. Fence was replaced 80% on Friday with gate remaining for Monday. Area was sealed off to outside entry and broken sprinkler pipe was repaired. Somehow the sprinkler system only worked on half the system (forgot to test system before leaving) so we repaired it ourselves over the weekend as the system needed redirecting around the outside new step anyway. Workers worked nonstop on one of the hottest days this summer and did a fine job. Miguel was great to work with and kept me informed as to the progress. Although Jess and Miguel were willing to update a 4 ft fence area perpendicular to the new fence and did what they could that day, I was disappointed that they could not come back at a later date to make the added piece of fence appealing all the way around. I left several messages with Luis in the office but none were returned. This extra fence piece was not on the original contract, but was added at the job completion.

The work was done perfectly. The new fencing is beautiful.
