Smoothly with no problems

Quite a few Angie's list plumbers were closed today (Sat, Jul 1st). Drain Masters answered my call and said they'd be there within the hour. Mr. Sylvester came in 30 minutes. Ran a test: flush an upstairs toilet to see whether the blockage was local or father down the sewer pipe. Test suggested local. He used a serious snake and in about ten minutes had retrieved the blockage cause. Toilet is back to normal.

He did a wonderful job. He had to spend a lot of time over here draining the water heater, but I'm so glad we called him. He came out initially to fix an issue we had with our toilet, and has always been a pleasure to work with. He's on time, pleasant, and figured things out quickly for us. I would highly recommend him, and I can't say enough good things.

It went great! The crawl space was tight but the technician was very pleasant & polite. Mapping out the best place to put the trap wasn't easy but they completed the job with the utmost care & professionalism.

The did a great job.  Replacing pipes without removing a pedestal sink is a difficult job, but they manage to do it.  If they would have had to remove the sink, that would have made the job much more costly.  Other plumber would only change out the pipes by removing the sink.  They were very nice.  We have called them back since our original visit for other issues.  They are at the top of our list for plumbers.

Edward helped us with several plumbing issues these past few months, including installing gas line, and plumbing repairs. I greatly appreciate how quickly he responds to calls. I feel comforted knowing I have a reliable plumber I can call when needed.

made appointment to give an estimate on drain obstruction to replace drain pipe that they had cleared 3 times before, not their fault, first 3 services were great, A+++, now today wanting to do repairs and get estimate, no show, no phone call, looking at their service record on YELP!, it seem to be common issue with this company as in Angie's list.

Very prompt, quick service and professional. I needed to get this done before the rain comes tonight and they were the 2nd place I called and provided same day service. Identified potential issue with drain onto the street.

These folks are great! I called and left a message and promptly received a return call within 10 minutes. I described the problem and answered some troubleshooting questions - and was told that they could have someone on-site within the hour, and that one of their plumbers, Dave, would be assigned. Dave called about 15 minutes later to verify my address and to say he was on the way - and he arrived at my door about 5 minutes or so after that.

Dave was cheerful and personable, professional and polite. He showed up attired in a clean jumpsuit and he donned and quot;bootiesand quot; over his work-boots before entering the house. He promptly cleared the blocked toilet drain-line and left the bathroom as clean as it'd been when he arrived. He made some recommendations on replacing our 30 year old toilet, and then prepared the invoice/receipt, and explained there was a 60 warranty on the work performed. They have a flat-rate for drain-clearing, shown here.

I am 100% impressed and would recommend Drainmasters to all my friends and neighbors. Definitely real pro's. Thanks!

A simple job performed quickly and efficiently.

Overall it was the easiest experience with a plumbing company we have ever had.

I called Drain Masters to clear out the main drain line from our kitchen and laundry. I need to do this every 4-5 years - a lot of gunk gets stuck in there, including dog hair from the laundry. They gave me an appointment for later that morning, and were right on time. Quickly and professionally cleaned out the drain, answered all my questions, and that was that. I will definitely call them again next time.

They are fine. They are prompt response. I had seen reviews on Yelp. I have been happy with them.

Two parts to the review:

1) The work itself was excellent, efficient, no surprises. They offered to clear the second line for just a small additional charge. Overall very reasonable, well done. This is the third or fourth time they've come out to clean our lines (they clog up due to roots) and we've been happy every time.

2) Responsiveness/Punctuality. I downgraded the review a little but it requires some explanation. The original appointment was for a wide range of times on one particular day *except not during lunch* because I had a lunch appointment. But they called right during my appointment, I couldn't answer, and so we were left in limbo. They were going to show up at around 12:15 and hadn't heard back from me so they didn't come at all. I made it clear to the receptionist that I was not available during this time so that seems to have gotten lost. After my appointment I left messages with the main office and on the phone number that had called me, but no answers.

It turns out they ended up that afternoon on a big job in another part of the Bay Area that took longer than they thought. They finally called back in the late afternoon and were very apologetic about it and said they could still make it, but I knew traffic was going to be horrible and I wasn't in a big rush -- so OK to do it the next day.

So, two problems: 1) it was hard to get hold of them during the day, and 2) miscommunication about the one time slot I wasn't able to be there.

All in all not a big problem, but something to work on.

It was interesting because we did find them on Angie's List. We had used them based on a referral from the property manager, who found them on Angie's List, and when I called and told them what the problem was, they gave me great advice in terms of what I needed to do and what to look for. I had to go and purchase the faucet first because they don't do that. As soon as I purchased the faucet, they instructed me to call back and he was able to come out the next day and install it. They were very effective and efficient and made good use of my time and told me exactly what my responsibilities were. They were very prompt in coming and fixing the issue.

Drain Masters told us on the phone exactly when we could expect service and they were right on time. They did a great job!
