De Luxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners was first started in 1890 in France with the of dyeing clothing & feathers. The dye house was moved to San Jose, California in 1912. Then in 1928 we introduced cleaning of area rugs into the company. The business is still family owed the business is now run by our 4th generation.

We have a large family heirloom Persian rug that is over 75 years old. It was starting to ravel and Deluxe Dye Works repaired and double tied the ends. It looks amazing and hopefully will last another 75 years. We were very pleased with the work and service we received and had them clean all our rugs. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend their outstanding service.

I have used Deluxe to clean my Persian-style Karastan carpet for 40 years. I wouldn't trust it to anyone else! They have always done an excellent job, including fringe replacement when needed. They are not cheap, but if you're looking for quality, they deliver. I highly recommend them. Note: price includes pickup and delivery.

I wound up taking the rug in and picking up it up when it was completed, but they also offer a service to pick up and deliver rugs. The rug was completed before the promised date and the quality of the work was great. Folks are friendly, too.

It came out beautifully, and they stayed open a few minutes late on a Saturday to let me come pick it up because I couldn't get there during regular hours.

I think they were pretty good. They are an old company and the use of the equipment that they had, they could really clean the carpet. They do fine carpets. They were good at the time.

They are the best; there is no one that comes close to them. The job they do consistently makes them the best. I think they are one of the best rug cleaners in the country. I know that they bring rugs in from Europe and other places. They are just a small company in San Jose that gives us absolutely fabulous service. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They are the only rug cleaners that I have used so I really don’t have anybody to compare with, their service was good and they got it done fairly quickly but my rug came back like kind of shrunk and funny so it is not square any more.  I have not had that problem before.  They put a backing on it and they have done a good job on the backing but that is the second time I have been there.  To be honest I think I would try some place else just because I don’t have anything to to compare it to.  Price wise they seemed expensive to me.  Their customer service is really good and may be this is just normal.

I have never had any problem with them. I had remodeling work done and I had called to inform them that I was ready to take delivery; they did not have a problem with it. They were prompt, honest, helpful in placing the rugs back where I needed them and took the rugs up as well. I don’t know about their prices because I did not compare them and shop because some of the rugs that I have are pretty valuable; they are handmade, handy tied and from South America. They fixed the rugs and did a nice job.

It was fabulous. I have used them for area rugs for probably 15 years and they always did a fabulous job. I had a remnant of carpeting left over that I wanted to make into an area rug. They did the fringing on it, and they did a beautiful job. They are extremely friendly and willing to help or answer questions. They just are nice. They remember my name before I even tell them, and it is sometimes years before I come in again. They are good. I am the one that takes it to them but there is always somebody to wait on me.

They are a great company. They are professional and fast. They cleaned my rugs of pet stains. The $75 delivery charge is for both pickup and delivery. They are a really good company and I like them a lot. I am really pleased with them and I will use them again. I didn't compare their prices.
