DAN ELLIOTTS ROOFING

I've used Dan Elliot in the past for routine maintenance with good results.  The results this time were also good, but the project was delayed several times.  However, other companies told me that they couldn't even come out to inspect for a few months. They said they were very busy due to people wanting to get ahead of the pending El Nino.

It took four and a half days to do the whole roof.  I have an 1140 sf home, and they did the tear-off, replaced about 12 rotted rafter tails using a "sister" method.  As the work progressed, I kept noticing more things that needed replacement - so they adjusted to what I needed and ended up replacing all the fascia board around the house, and about 2/3 of the boards around the gables (I don't remember what those are called).  The work crew was professional, prompt, and was helpful in accommodating what I needed done.  Dan himself was on-site several times, checking on the progress of the work.
At the end of the day, I had the old roof torn off, new roof put on, rotted rafter tails repaired, new flashing and attic vents installed, new fascia board, new trim on the gables, and new gutters and downspouts.  The roof looks great, it's working well (tho we've hardly had any rain to test it!), and I'm happy with the job.  The final price that I paid was just a bit more than the quotes I had from other roofing companies for just the tear-off and re-roof, so I feel like I got a great deal, and am happy it's done.
I liked that Dan is a San Jose guy - grew up here and even used to deliver newspapers on my street!  I recommend his company.

This company did satisfactory work. They showed up on time and the price that they charged us was reasonable. They did have a company truck. The work was done about 1 year ago and I have not had any problems with my roof since that time. The company did clean up well after themselves. I have no complaints. The work that they completed was excellent.
