CLARK TERMITE CONTROL

This company swindled my elderly mother out of $1250. They claimed they did a treatment in her second story eaves and tried to force her to tent the house. She originally called them because she thought she had termites in her fence. I come down a week later and it looks like someone did a bad repair job. I called a roofer who said, there is not termite damage, that is dry rot. He gets up there and rips out the wood and points out no treatment was done. I called the company and their manager got on the phone. He tried to mansplain that I was wrong, they did the treatment and raised his voice several times. He refused to provide a refund, partial or full. These people swindled a little old lady, how low can you go?

The gentleman that helped me was amazing! He was so professional and was honest about what needed to be sprayed and what didn’t. I spent about $546.00 to get my Mobile Home sprayed for termites. They were only found in my shed so I also got a warranty for the following year they were to come back out and do a follow up which did happen. I didn’t have to remember they called us! I recommend this company to anyone that’s having a problem with pests.

I booked an appointment a week or so in advance, for a complete termite inspection of the house. Clark came a little early, which was good since he would be covering a lot of ground. I had the check ready when he arrived. (That gets you a $25 discount.) He started by inspecting windows, both inside and outside the house. He went up in the attic. He put overalls over his good clothes and went under the house as well, into the crawl space (dirt). I was relieved no termites were found. In a few days I received a thorough written report, emailed as a pdf file. It had a nice scale drawing of the layout of the house, and items he noticed that could be cleaned up or fixed (e.g. some excessive moisture in one place, but no leaks. Fungus damage to a post outside the house. Some debris under the house.).

Dale was professional, thorough, conscientious, polite and took the time to explain what he was doing. He found termite activity in the deck in an area that did not require immediate attention. I appreciated his honesty and the fact that he did not try to talk me into having more work done by him. I would hire him again without hesitation!  (A suggestion to those considering having a termite inspection is to save some of the insects/droppings/etc. to show to the inspector. I did not but wish I had.)

They call a day first to check if we have the time. They are professional, punctual and they let us know when they be here.

It went very well.  I got a quote from another provider who wanted to do a full fumigation for over $2000.00. I appreciated this companies honesty in telling me that I only needed a local treatment at a fraction of the cost.

Rick was responsive and came to my place to do a free identification of bugs in my bathroom.  Fortunately, they were not termites as I feared.  He also gave me a price quote on work that another termite inspection company had estimated.  Since his quote was significantly less, I went with him.  He also gave me an Angie's List discount, even though, technically, the discount was intended for inspections only.
I am unable to rate the quality of his work.  The door trim replacement was done well, but only time will tell whether the work he did to eradicate the termites was effective.

Mr. Clark came to take a look at a  potential termite area the day after I called, while 3 other companies told me I needed to wait at least a week.  He did a thorough overview and proposed the most economical option, even though I was prepared to do more.  His crew came the next day and did the work.  I was extremely satisfied.

Technician was our neighbor as a child. Knew he worked for Clark in Redwood City. He and partner were professional and responsive.

The service was great. He was on time, and very thorough. His opinion was that the droppings were old -- probably leftover from before our house was treated. He found a few other piles of droppings under our house, and told us they were probably old too, but we could keep an eye on it by cleaning it up and watching for new ones. He found some other things too -- He told us about places on the exterior of our house where the wood was in danger of water/fungus damage, so we should clean up leaves and fix the drainage in those areas. He also noted a missing screen on one of the vent holes underneath the house. It was great to hear about all these things, which we weren't expecting to be a part of the report. It was also great to hear that we wouldn't need to tent our house.
The inspection service costs $150, but we got a $25 discount for paying up-front, and a $25 discount from Angie's list. The peace of mind was well worth the $100.

I thought they were very efficient. They were friendly and helpful. They did what needed to be done. They were a lot less expensive than the other companies that gave estimates.

An almost pleasant experience, despite the situation.

I received a quote from another company when I bought the house, so I send them the inspection report and ask for a competitive quote. They are very responsive both on email/phone and price is super as well.

The fumigation was conducted on Tues morning 9am. They arrived on time. All the operations were done before I move in, so it helps the fumigation process I guess. They have everything done and no junk left. The same day, they sent me a invoice and offered to pick up the check. It's fairly nice since I happen to work in another city.
