CHESNOS PAINTING INC

Bob Chesnos(Chesnos Painting Company)  came to our house and we showed him the outside and also the inside of our house, that we wanted painted. We also wanted our patio cover restained.. We wanted all of the outside painted, and a lot of , what we thought painted inside the house. We had thought we would need to paint the entire wall, baseboards, and walls, but Bob had said that if we had the same paint, he could try and touch them up w/o the cost of painting the entire surface. Saving money is always a good idea. Before we could get started we needed to have some of the wood on the front of our house repaired(dry rot), and some of the cracks inside the house fixed. We had baseboard we had purchased years ago, but it never got installed, so we needed it installed too. So we needed someone to do this work. Bob recommended a Steve Carpenter for the wall texture, and a  handyman named Vinny to do the work. He recommended them, because he had worked with them for years and knew they did a good job. We got an estimate for the oustside of the house and the staining of the patio cover. It was difficult to get an exact amount for the inside of the house, because we wanted Bob to do a great deal of touch up, on walls, baseboards and doors. If he could match the paint, then he could just do a touch up, but if he ended up having to paint the whole area, then it would take more time and cost more. It depended on if we were happy with the touch up, or if we didn't like it and wanted him to do the whole door, wall or baseboards. As it turned out, he did a great job of touching up a lot of areas, so we avoided the extra cost. Having workman save money for you, is NOT a common practice. We have had a lot of work done at our house in the 37 years living here, and I honestly think, Bob, (Chesnos Painting Company), along with the other workers he recommended were the best we have ever had working at our house. They gave us a time to start, and how long it would take, and they finished when they said they would. They showed up on time, and if they were running late, they would call to let us know. We were on a time crunch, so all they worked together to do a good job and get it done on time.

After the work was all done, Bob came by to be sure we got everything done, that we had wanted done. As it turned out, I had forgotten a few areas, so he painted those areas for me too.  I would highly recommend Chesnos Painting Company for anyone who needs the outside, inside patio cover or any other painting services the company provides.

This is the 3rd time we have used Chesnos painting - (once to paint the exterior of our house). Each time has always been a pleasure. Bob consistantly is repsonsive to phone calls, keeps to his proposed schedule, gives useful advice, does great work and leave everything cleaned up. Quality wwork from a true professional.

I have used Chesno's painting in the past on my personal residence and was very happy with the quality of work. I contacted him again to freshen up a rental unit between occupancies. This is a furnished unit which would require more care since it would not be empty at the time. Bob was able to accommodate the tight time frame and did an excellent job. It is very hard to find a high quality painter and I will be using Chesno's painting for all my future paint projects.

Bob came and looked at the room; sent me an estimate by mail; then we scheduled the work. He was very responsive in scheduling so that the work would be done before school started. His workman was very successful in removing the wallpaper so that the texture and primer that were already on the wall were not damaged. With no need to prime or texture the walls, he proceeded to paint and finished the job in 2 days, which was quicker than anticipated. He was quite happy to use paint that I had purchased, so I was able to select a very low odor, "zero" VOC paint from Benjamin Moore, and that was great, too. The workman was professional, arrived on time, and clearly very experienced and knowledgeable.

The project went beautifully. It was a bit tricky because we had to schedule the work in 2 stages following the removal of the acoustic ceilings. Bob Chesnos coordinated with the drywall contractor who was removing the acoustic ceilings and the work was done on time as promised. The workers even came on the weekend to accommodate my schedule. The painters showed up on time, did a stellar job and left the place spotless. They did a bit more work than was expected due to unforeseen circumstances (with the acoustic removal) and I gladly paid the slight increase in cost.

Bob was referred by my floor contractor. He returned my call right away and came over the next day to give me an estimate. He was currently working on a multi-day project so it would be several days before he would be available. That was fine with me since I was still picking out colors. He showed up exactly on time and was very pleasant and polite. He outlined the job and how long it would take. He and his assistant helped move the heavy furniture into the middle of the room. They removed my window treatments, outlet covers, picture frame hooks and filled in and smoothed some small holes. They also covered my sink area with plastic to protect it and taped the moulding to keep paint from spattering. All floor areas were covered. Bob also did some light sanding on a sun-damaged window ledge. They did a great job painting. It is surprising how quickly two men can get the job done when each one knows exactly what to do. It was a well-oiled machine. They cleaned up well after themselves. They worked very quickly. They were actually a lot pickier than I was!
