Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel including custom cabinets, granite and addition of an island.

Description of Work: Move front door location, frame and install front door and bedroom window, put new stucco and stone veneer in the front of the house, frame several closets, install drywall, texture and paint two rooms, install door and base trim in several locations and paint the whole house on the outside

Description of Work: Installation of roof jacks for new bathroom exhaust fans. Work included installing two roof jacks and hooking up the ducts from the fans to the jacks.

Description of Work: Before I bought my house I had a building inspector check it out. He noted that the garage wall was becoming structurally unsound. The concrete along the outside had been lifted by tree roots and tilted toward the garage in years past. (The tree was long gone.) Years of soaking up water had rotted the wood, which was further damaged by termites. Supporting 2x4s on the inside needed to be replaced, along with the cedar shingles on the outside of the wall. The old wooden garage doors needed to be replaced, along with the side door and window. I also wanted to replace the old cedar shingles with stucco. I had a handyman and a couple general contractors give me a bid. I selected CJ Cranton Construction for the fairness and competitiveness of the bid, good references, years of experience, and the general contractor, Courtney Cranton's, friendly, helpful, and positive personality. Courtney and his subcontractors did a wonderful job. The job included demolition of the concrete along the side of the garage, demolition of the shingles, hauling of all the debris, replacement of the damaged wood, installation of a new garage side door, replacement of garage window, 2 new garage doors, one garage door opener, replacement of old wood framing garage doors. Since I didn't have the money to stucco the whole house, we did the entire south wall and the front of the house. (I'll have CJ Cranton Construction return to finish the job later this year.) They also installed a new front door, removed old metal porch railings, removed traditional downspouts and installed rain chains, replaced motion lights on garage wall, motion light on front porch, replaced door knob on entry door to house from garage, created a mail slot in the front wall of the garage, stabilized faulty foundation board work on the garage footing (the foundation was actually crooked, and the original builders in the 1950's had angled the base board off the concrete to keep the wall straight) The guys also cheerfully handled any other small jobs I came up with as we went along.
