Bright Carpet Care

The brochure promised a low price (around $60 as I remember) but the worker kept raising the price and arguing about it and I made the mistake of agreeing to $120 for a living room, dining room and hall. The work seemed to be OK while he was doing it. (We had a number of spots caused by vomit from our pets.) But within a couple of days all the spots were back

I had a horrible experience. Had to demand my money back and threaten to report them to DA office.

Then he said, he could bring it down to $495. I thought he wanted me to give him cash and offered to do so if I could have the $250 price. He said no, but he could make it $395! When I said I couldn't afford that, he shocked me by saying "where is your husband? why don't you have a husband?" At that point my senior mother was so upset that she told me to tell him to leave. I got on the phone to call another carpet cleaner. Cesar handed my mother his phone with his boss on it. My mother was angrily telling him that she wasn't paying $895. I had to close the door on his face. His boss then called me back and I told him I'd leave my opinion on Angies list. I called the biggest ad in the yellow pages - (408-266-2532). He quoted me $220 with a 15% senior discount for my mother. By 2:30 his cleaner arrived, worked very hard, and left the place spotless. He said there was no need for deep cleaning. That the good quality carpet made it very easy to clean. NEVER USE BRITE CARPET CARE!

Overall, I was satisfied with their work.

The only positive thing I can say about this experience was that they were on time. The representative was very insistent that I purchase the deep cleaning treatment for an extra 400$-he said my carpets would not look clean without it. He asked me 4 times to the point where he was pleading with me to purchase this extra service-now reduced to $300 as long as I paid CASH! When I told him I just wanted the steam cleaning he was very upset stating "Whatever"! "I'm just trying to help you out lady."

We have used this company on and off for 4 years. Their service has been declining. They insist on pre-treating all of our carpet even though we have large area rugs. They have been late by several hours twice now. Have them come early in the day.

They came into our home and were very courteous and extremely efficient. They were very knowledgeable about the different kind of fabrics and types of rugs. They did and excellent job and everything turned out great.
