Overall I had a really good, positive experience and I would heartily recommend this store. I must have visited the fabulous granite showroom at Baystone at least six times before finally deciding on the two slabs of granite that I needed for my counter tops and backsplash. I had previously been to about  half a dozen granite stores up and down the peninsula. Ray went out of his way to be helpful. He was so patient and kind and I can't say enough about the service that I received. The installer that they use, Francesco, is truly a master craftsman. He came to my house to make the templates for the granite and I was able to go to his workshop to help decide where I wanted the cuts to be made etc. He is a true professional. The installation of the granite went quickly and well. It looks amazing and was perfectly installed with undermount cast iron sink (which weighs a ton) but Francesco installed beautifully. I am thrilled with the service and products that I received from Baystone and would highly recommend them for first rate service, price, quality and attention to detail.

Overall, it was not bad. The cost included the materials. We really liked the sales person that we had, Jeff. The installer and fabricator were nice too. We were not entirely thrilled with some of the materials; some of the tiles were kind of chipped. The installation was flawless; the lines and so forth were perfect. Their pricing was descent; competitive. We are re-considering them to do some kitchen countertops.

We had ordered some Tile from Bay Stone Depot that we were happy with (see separate review of Tile Service) However we went through Tile and Grout king for install (See separate review) . Everything went well so we decided to order our countertop from Bay Stone Depot as well. The ordering process was painless however everything related to the install was comically unorganized. We drew a diagram for them twice in the store which they lost. I was called the two days after paying for the quartz and asked to fax another copy of the diagram (this was #3). The installer came to take a template the next day and informed us they would be installed thursday. We then called thursday morning to confirm installation time and were told that we would not be able to have counters installed until Saturday (note that we had to call them for this information). This resulted in having to move other contractors around on very short notice. Ray didn't seem terribly concerned about the schedule push and offered no compensation or apology for the project slip. Overall, for a large organization, I am disappointed with the clarity of communication between the supplier and their installers. I plan to shop at Bay Stone in the future for materials only, but their installation services leave much to be to be desired. Considering a vast majority of the cost of this particular project was in labor, I am not happy with this transaction.
