Feb 2016
Real Estate Service
I am a homeowner in the Sacramento area and my house is
listed for sale. On February 13, 2016, I
arrived at my home to find my front door ajar with the key in the lock and my
patio sliding door and screen door fully open. I immediately called my Real Estate Agent and
reported that my home was left open by another agent. My agent checked the access to the electronic
lock box and learned that it was last opened by Baljit Gill, agent for Atlas
Realty which is located at 1190 S. Bascom Ave, Suite 118, San Jose, CA. My agent contacted Mr. Gill and he related
that one of his clients? children took the bottom of the lock box with them. Instead of locking the property and
contacting my agent (whom he had spoken with to set the appointment), he left
the house wide open with the key in the door.
Is it just me, or should a real estate agent, Mr. Gill, who professes on
the company website to have been in the business since 2004, use better
judgement when responsible for someone else?s property? When my fiancée and I contacted Mr. Gill to
ask what had happened, his reply was ?I sell million dollar homes.? I am totally appalled that someone with these
type of business practices has access to electronic lock boxes. You might want to think twice before
entrusting your property to Mr. Gill. I
hope the management of Atlas Realty takes this event seriously.
