I worked with Robin to pick out the doors and schedule the installation. She is very professional, warned me about possible complications, and kept me informed about any delays (4 days for shipping). Robin arranged for an electrician to move my outlets a couple of days before the installation. Jim and Ruben installed the door in one day, and left my living room SPOTLESS. Someone came and did a great job on my stucco after. I will be hiring them again for my windows. my door was 4000.00, labor/electrician/stucco/door installation was the rest.

We contacted and were visited by several vendor/contractors and chose Almaden based on the quality of ts Angie's list rating, our perception of the skill and integrity of the personnel we met and dealt with, the quality and features of the window to be supplied and installed, and the reasonableness of the price. The Almaden Window and Door owner came to our home, assessed our needs, advised us on appropriate replacement options, took the measurements, gave us a substantial sample of the window framing material, and e-mailed us a complete and binding estimate within 24 hours. When we decided to proceed, we were asked for and paid a a reasonable deposit. Almaden's staff was very helpful in meeting our prompt installation scheduling requirements. The installer came as scheduled, pleasantly performed a skilled craftsman's installation (including removal of most of the components of the previous window), provided information about the window operation, and left a clean job site when he finished. He also made appropriate preparations for a contractor from a different trade to carry out his related function.
Our satisfaction with the process, from initial contact through the estimate and replacement window installation, exceeded our expectations. We received excellent value for our investment and expect to reduce our utility bills and increase our kitchen comfort.. I would do business with Almaden Window and Door again because we had such a positive experience.

They were great. We had nats outside and they turned into termites. When we called Almaden they said they'd get a guy out there to look. So a guy came out and looked and determined it was termites. They pulled off part of the siding and told us what they would do and gave us a bid for fumigating the whole house. They got rid of everything.

They were able to do the job. They had really high time line too. They were king of busy but they squeezed me in and were able to do the work. That was really good. I would use them in the future.

They replaced about 15 windows and 3 doors. They were a little expensive, but, did quality work. They were thorough and gave me estimates. They didn’t sell any retro fit windows, but, they constructed the windows. They were understanding and listened to my requirements. They explained the job before commencing the same. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Went to showroom, Toni extremely helpful in educating us regarding windows and doors. She spent a lot of time with us to be sure we understood all aspects. She was very supportive, worked with us to bring project within our budget. Very flexible with scheduling work around our other commitments. Mike and Reuben showed up promptly and had drop cloths to protect furniture. Thorough clean up each day. Windows look great and door is wonderful. I was very impressed with their work.

I was very impressed with Tony Hatfield, the sales representative. I showed up looking for pricing on a specific door. Before quoting me, she asked me questions about the location of the door to assess the amount of weather exposure. Based on the information, she she made a recommendation that she thought would be better suited for the location. None of the other window and door companies asked me anything about the location. When I ordered the door, she gave me an accurate estimation for arrival and installation. The installers were professional, friendly and polite. They performed the worked above my expectation and within the time-frame estimated. I was very satisfied with this company and will recommend them and use them again.

They absolutely did quality work and they were prompt. They also cleaned up everyday before they left. I don't remember exactly how much they charged but I have used them many times in the past and I would highly recommend them.

They definitely did a better job than the company that installed replacement window before. They are a little expensive but well worth it. Almaden's work really improved the look of the house. I will have them come back to do the downstairs as well. An absolute A+ quality job!

I was extremely pleased with the service, work and follow-up from start to finish. It started in the Almaden Window and Door showroom. The sales person was friendly, helpful and applied no pressure at all. They made it easy to schedule an estimate and once I had determined what I wanted, they scheduled a date for the work. Since I live in an Homeowners association, Almaden Window was great at providing all of the paperwork (contractors liability, etc.) prior to beginning. They started and finished when they said they would. They were very clean and did not leave a mess when finished.

They were very attentive to details. Helpful with suggesting various options of windows and hardware. We are restricted to bronze exterior color, and they were also helpful and knowledgeable in suggesting options. Installation was done in two days. They used tape and plastic to cover furniture and minimize dust. They were neat as they worked and cleaned-up at the end of day. Good follow up from the office upon completion.

Job took 3 days, of which I was home on the first day (my husband was home the other 2). After the job was done, and I came home, I saw that they had framed all windows without sills (this is including the sliders). When I questioned them about it, I was given the run around by their representative, Toni Hatfield. Like - oh, that's the way I've done my house, and, that's the way the original windows in your house were (not true) and, that's what you agreed to(also not true) and finally - why didn't you stop us while we were installing them (as a matter of fact, my plumber, who was in the house did question them about it on the spot). She wanted me to pay $375 extra to come fix their mistake. When I said I would not, and I'd get it done from someone else, she said that would make the warranty on my windows void. That makes absolutely no sense, because changing the interior window trim should have nothing to do with the window warranty, unless it was a bad job to begin with.

"I FELT IT IMPORTANT TO RESPOND BACK TO OUR CUSTOMER'S REPORT. WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 12 YEARS, ON ANGIE’S LIST FOR 2 YEARS. WE HAVE HAD GREAT FEEDBACK FROM CUSTOMERS FOR QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHEN WE WENT OUT TO THE CUSTOMER’S HOUSE, PART OF THEIR WINDOWS HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE. WE ASKED IF THEY WANTED THE REST OF THE WINDOWS TO BE INSTALLED AND FRAMED TO MATCH THE NEW ONES THAT WERE ALREADY DONE, THEY SAID YES. ON THE CUSTOMER’S CONTRACT IT STATED VICTORIAN CASING ONLY, NO WHERE ON THE CONTRACT DID WE STATE A NEW SILL & APRON. ON ALL CONTRACTS WE WILL NOTE DETAIL OF THE INTERIOR & EXTERIOR. DURING THE 3 DAYS THAT THE CUSTOMERS WERE HOME, AT NO TIME OF THE INSTALLATION DID THEY STATE OR NOTE THE WINDOWS WERE DONE INCORRECTLY, THAT THEY WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THEM. IT IS FOR THE CUSTOMER TO QUESTION THE INSTALL, NOT THE PLUMBER(NOT KNOWING THE CONTRACT). WE HAVE SEVERAL CUSTOMERS THAT WILL CHANGE THE WAY THINGS ARE DONE ON THE INTERIOR, ALL CUSTOM INTERIOR FINISH. WHEN WE WERE DONE A DAY LATER, WE GOT A CALL FROM THE CUSTOMER STATING THAT SHE WANTED 3 WINDOWS CHANGED AND WINDOW SILLS ADDED, I EXPLAINED THAT EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE TO BE REDONE & NEW MATERIAL ADDED, CHANGE OF CONTRACT. AS FOR THE WARRANTY, HER WINDOW WARRANTY WOULD NOT BE VOIDED BUT THE INSTALLATION WARRANTY ON WHERE ANYTHING WAS ALTERED AFTER OUR INSTALL WOULD BE. WE FELT AS A COMPANY WE MADE EVERY EFFORT POSSIBLE TO SATISFY OUR CUSTOMER. SOMETIMES MISCOMMUNICATION IS A KEY."

FRONT DOOR SYSTEM WAS DELIVERED ON-TIME AND INSTALLED WITH WINDOW AND SIDE DOOR. INSTALLER HAS BEEN IN THE DOOR BUSINESS FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. HE COMES DOWN TO SAN JOSE FROM NORTHERN CA ONCE A MONTH FOR A WEEK TO INSTALL FOR ALMADEN WINDOWS.
