Duane consulted with us to determine how to get the look and functionality that we wanted.
We were updating the look of our home but also require a somewhat Asian look to go with our artwork and collectibles. Duane talked with his team and came up with several ways that we could build the cabinet. With the aid of some hand drawings, we were able to visualize the design he was proposing and we could see how it would work.
The resulting product is gorgeous and we are proud to have it be a feature spot in our home. I pass by it several times a day and marvel at how beautiful it looks.
We will talk with Duane about future projects that we might have.
My wife and I were very fortunate to be referred to Acanthus Cabinetry in
San Jose. We purchased an older home that was in complete disrepair.
We chose to tear down the home and rebuild. This required a good
General Contractor with good subs and referrals. One of the most
important features of a home is beautiful cabinets throughout the home.
We sought out several companies to bid on our project. After careful
consideration, we chose Acanthus Cabinetry as their bid was competitive
and complete. The CAD drawings made their bid easy to understand and visualize what would be installed in our new home. We toured their shop inspecting other projects in process for other
customers. The many designs, types of wood used, stains, and glazing made us very excited to see the end result in our home.
Duane Kegley is the owner/operator and is very particular about insuring the
customer is completely satisfied with their choices before work is
performed. He offered many suggestions and we were very comfortable
with them as he is a very experienced cabinet maker. We contracted with
Duane to build cabinets in 7 rooms in our new home. The kitchen is
quite large and designed to be a professional appearing kitchen any Chef
would enjoy. A 7 foot island looks like a piece of furniture one would
install in a dinning room. Beautiful. We were very impressed with the
entertainment center that covered an entire wall with our flat screen TV
and stereo equipment built in above a natural gas fireplace. In the
dinning room Duane built a very attractive bar with glass doors, granite
top, and back splash. The remainder of the custom cabinets were built
into the Laundry Room, and two bathrooms. Perfect. His cabinet doors and drawers have soft closers which we just love.
What made our choice of Acanthus Cabinetry complete was how easy Duane
worked with us on selections and how Duane worked with the General
Contractor in timing the installation perfectly. We could not be more
pleased. I'm not one to write recommendations often, but we were so
pleased with Duane and his crew that we wanted to let our friends and
the community know about this fine company. If anyone has questions and
would like to discuss this with me about Acanthus Cabinetry, feel free
to contact me via email.
Sincerely,
Paul Gardner
