very good -- showed up on time, if not early.
Easy to talk to the man, very professional, asked key questions, and very quick to give recommendation. (the issue was simple too)
He did his work, seemed motivated to do a good job.
One thing to fix: wear the shoe covers, so customer feels better about coming into the house, and being on carpet.
Saw deal on Angie's List for $99 for $200 worth of work. Looked up number and called directly because drain backed up.
They confirmed they could come out today and would honor the $99 deal. When the operator discovered that my drain was backed up, she said an $89 show up fee would be added. I went elsewhere.
Plan on extra fees if you need services soon..
This is probably not very fair to the vendor because I could not wait the 3 days for the vendor to get back to me to schedule future service, did not go through Angie's List, and only used Angie's as a reference.

It was also identified that there was seepage in several areas of the cast iron pipe. This pipe is the original pipe from the time our house was build in 1955. A restoration company was called out to vacuum out the water and sanitize. The plumbers then replaced the sewer pipe between the master bathroom where the trouble started and the kitchen which is in the middle of our ranch style house. This was in addition to performing other pipe replacements, and correcting improper fittings. The plumbers were eventually able to find the source of the blockage in the pipes.
Upon seeing the condition of the old sewer pipes which were changed under the house, we decided to have the other half of the piping replaced. Although there was a substantial increase in cost as a result, we chose to be proactive, given the age of the pipes.
The lead plumber, Charles Saulas, was very knowledgeable and explained each and every situation he encountered and recommendations for addressing issues. He made sure that the results were of high quality. He kept me informed of progress on an ongoing basis and never pressured me in any way. In total, the job lasted more than seven days. The pipes are warrantied for 40 years and I have peace of mind that we will have no major plumbing issues in the future.
