It went very well. They are very knowledgable and are really helpful in explaining how everything would work and what they would do. They did the work in 3 stages to make sure our entire house wasn't turned inside out. They also have a show room in San Gabriel where you can look at the products.

The salesperson was very helpful in informing me about the windows, and in noting the detailed description of the windows being ordered. These specifications were conveyed by San Gabriel Sash and Door to the manufacturer, T. M. Cobb. The windows were completed when they were expected and delivery was made at the agreed-upon time. I am happy with the quality of the product (the windows), so of course I am also happy with my retailer, San Gabriel Sash and Door. They were very professional, and the delivery of the windows went as expected. The deliveryman was very helpful in getting the windows unloaded and (temporarily) stored prior to installation.

It was excellent that was a wonderful company. Whatever the charge it was worth it. I am paying for quality so I don't care about the prices. They have excellent skills. I would use them again.

This was the second time we've used San Gabriel Sash and Door, and we called them again because we were very pleased with the work they did previously on our 1920s house. The measuring process went very smoothly and quickly--perhaps a bit too quickly, as the picture window ended up being built incorrectly and had to be re-ordered, but they took full responsibility for the error and handled the re-order and second installation appointment without any problems. They were very conscientious about timing the installation, and called to reschedule our initial appointment because they'd been keeping an eye on the weather forecast and were worried about whether or not we'd be able to get painters in quickly enough before it rained. (As it was bright and sunny on the day they called, we hadn't even thought about this, but sure enough, it did rain the day after we were originally scheduled for installation.) Overall they are very professional, reasonably priced, and do great work.

When I bought my house about a year ago, I noticed that the previous owners had installed interior wood doors in the back of the house leading to the garden. The doors were very nice and matched all the others doors in the house but they were exposed to the elements, leaked when it rained and were not square in the frame. I tried all kind of tricks but it was time to replace the doors altogether.
I had driven by the store a few times, didn't see many reviews about them but decided to give them a try. Jim came out to the house, measured the doors discussed the options and I decided to go for the fiberglass doors matching the look of the old doors. The doors are prehung, they would do the weatherstripping all around and also put a wooden sill. The doors are off-white, presumably primed and ready for painting and/or staining... from T.M. Cobb. I would be responsible for painting the doors inside and out to match the old doors. The screen doors that I picked were with a full screen to let the maximum light/air thru, I just wanted to be able to keep the patio door open and the bugs out. Unfortunately the screen doors come in a limited selection of colors so I could not find an exact match to the existing color scheme of the house... not a big deal, there was a color that was close enough.
I put a deposit, the doors were ordered (custom made for my dimensions) and after a couple of weeks we scheduled a date/time. They were a bit behind with another job so they called me a few days ahead to see if they could reschedule which was OK with me. On the day of the installation, Jim came on time and he was joined by Woody a bit later. They eached tackled a door, removing the old one, prepping the frame, installing the doors, installing inside molding to match the existing molding in the house, cutting and installing the sills, sealing all cracks around the edges, mounting the screens, etc. and hauled away the old doors and all the trash.
There were a few suprises when removing one of the doors. The house structure in which the frame was to be fitted was a bit weak (the old door had not been secured properly) but they took extra time to go back and find suitable brackets to sturdy things up. This added time to the installation so they were a bit behind for their next appointment. They rushed a bit at the end to wrap everything up and I did not noticed until a few days later that they forgot to fill in a large opening under one of the sills... but I fixed it myself. I do wish they had followed up after a bit to ask how everything was holding up.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the new doors. I wish I had done it sooner and I am glad to have given San Gabriel Sash and Door a try. I will be asking them to change a couple of other doors in the near future. So far the doors have been holding up very well. My only disappointment is that they don't do the painting... it would have been nice if they offered the service or partnered with someone so that it is really a one stop shop. I painted all the doors myself to match the old doors and they do look great but I also had to paint and stain the sill, paint the molding and still have to paint around the frame of the door to match the surrounding stucco... a lot more time and work that I did not expect.

Jim came and measured, they ordered the windows, we scheduled a time for install, Jim came, installed while I was gone and when I came back I had new windows. He cleaned up his mess and aside for a few little specks of old window frame or something, it was very good. They do an honest job. The screens were too dark and made the kitchen much darker, and they replaced them for me. They know good customer service, and I get the feeling they are happy to make the customer happy.

They were very conscientious and patient as I had to deal with the back and forth from Home Depot. It's a brother-sister mom and pop place, but the quality and professionalism far exceeded Home Depot, for example, a large corp. They were here when then said, they kept me informed of what was going on if coming late, they promised to call me with a cancellation opening in their schedule and they did, the quote and actual price matched, the wood looks good, and Jim the installer cleaned up everything - it looks like he was never here. They are the first I will call when I replace the rest of my windows!

The family that owns this business really knows their products. We ordered windows and thanks to their suggestions, they were not only correct but perfect.

Very well. I contacted several vendors through Angie's List. Only San Gabriel was willing to take on the job because (1) It was custom, and (2) I wanted hardware cloth instead of flyscreen, which is practically impossible to install flat. I also wanted the jambs built out so when open, the doors would fold back parallel to the exterior wall. The company worked with me to figure out what the detailed design would be like, and discussed hardware options before selection and ordering. They provided an estimate which became the final cost. I thought the price was high, but considering the uniqueness of the job, for me it was an acceptable value. For the most part, the work was done neatly, and took only two half-day sessions on site. My only complaint, which was OK, was that it took a very long time for the materials to arrive at the company and for the doors to be fabricated, so the installation date was several weeks later than originally discussed. However, I love my doors.

I AM VERY WELL PLEASED WITH THE NEW DOOR, AND THE INSTALLATION. THE INSTALLER REMOVED THE OLD DOOR, REPAIRED MINOR BLEMISHES, AND INSTALLED THE NEW DOOR IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER WITH FIRST CLASS HARDWARE, AND LOCK. CLEANED UP ALL LITTER, TOOK THE OLD DOOR FOR DISPOSAL, AND TOLD ME WHAT KIND OF PAINT TO USE, AND HOW TO APPLY IT.
