We are a third generation family store; we have two sales per year (May and November) with postcards sent to our mailing list; we offer layaway on selected items.

Services we offer

We design jewelry, and can make jewelry to your design specifications. We work primarily in platinum, 18k gold and 14k gold, but we also sell and work with sterling. We offer a selection of estate and antique jewelry, and specialize in repairing fine pieces. We offer hand engraving and watch repair. We can obtain loose diamonds or colored stones if we do not have in stock what you want. Fine workmanship and beautiful jewelry are our goals.

Services we don't offer

Except for watch batteries and simple repairs, service is not "while you wait".

I had never heard of G H Wilke and Co and found them on Angie's List and the Yellow Book. I found out that they have been around since 1929. I was skeptical about going to any jewelers, because my diamond at another store in Virginia was replaced by a much cheaper diamond. We found this out through a second appraisal. I wanted to stand there at Wilke while this jeweler did the work, but I felt complete trust in them. He has been working there for close to thirty years. They noticed a few prongs that were loose and I verified this through a microscope. Also I noticed that there were about three parties of long established customers there. If there is any change in my opinion, I'll let you know, but I feel it is good to go to a long established jewelry store. They also sell jewelry.

They have always been terrific. They have great follow up, and they will call back with a quote. They take the time to sit down and talk to you. They have some unique pieces. The overall experience was excellent. I would go back again.
