Pat was great! He showed up on time and had everything done quickly and cleanly. He even gave me some free tips on how to handle some basic window repairs myself. Very nice and really knows his business. Would definitely call him to handle any future window and/or door repairs!

Excellent. He knows what he's doing, is careful, and end product was well worth the price. Also, he quotes his price, and is easy to get along with. A nice guy, to boot!" I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Patrick was prompt in returning my phone call to set up an appointment to come out to my Mother's house. He was able to change the door/lock and cleaned up the area after he was done. I would definitely hire him again.

Patrick came by and gave me a estimate, he took the time to show me all the available screen doors, and helped me choose the right one for my needs.  He then replaced the old and worn screen door with a beautiful one, reasonably priced, and did a great installation in about an hour.  The screen door fits and works perfectly.  We love it!

The work went splendidly. We now have a front door that can be locked and unlocked without sticking hopelessly, and a door to the garage (not a "garage door") that works and latches easily. I don't believe the garage door ever worked in our 12 years in the house.
He was able to identify settling in the house that affected the frames of both doors, and gave us something to watch for.
Indeed, the only problem is that he is in such high demand that patience is required to book time. :)

He is in great demand; gave me a work and install time four weeks later....then phoned and said the items had arrived and he was able to come two weeks sooner;  he worked non-stop for 7 hours the second time he came to service my doors.  He takes pride in his craft!

Patrick handled all of the details as far as ordering a new door, purchasing moulding, and hauling away the existing door. He was very thorough when I contacted him about needing the door replaced. Since I am located a bit outside his service area, I had him schedule a visit when he had a job out this way. He was always very prompt responding to my questions.
He installed a Therma-Tru door. The workmanship on the door was a bit sloppy. That is to say, the glazing on the windows was a mess: very sticky and difficult to clean. I contacted Therma-Tru and asked for instructions to remove the excess the glazing. They sent me a canned response:
Thank you for contacting customer support. In response to your email I have attached below the best way to remove excess sealant. 1. Remove any excess glass glazing sealant by first spraying with a window cleaner or water.2. Use a single edge razor blade to score the glazing along the edge of the frame. Holding the razor blade at a 45 degree angle, scrape glazing from glass.3. Wipe remaining residue off with window cleaner or mineral spirits.4. Clean frame with a mild detergent and water, or use a TSP solution. Rinse well and allow to dry completely. I am sorry a large amount of excess ended up on the glass. The local assembler added additional sealant to provide a tighter seal against weather for you and after tightening the lite frame it may have squeezed out more but is easily cleaned.

Easily cleaned? Hardly. The excess did not scrape away. It was very sticky, like removing chewing gum on a hot day. The worst part: more glazing oozed out the next day and I had to start all over.
While I do not fault Patrick, I have to say I am not pleased with Therma-Tru or there lack of customer concern/support.

Door Dr/Patrick was professional and efficient.  Did a great job repair a door falling off the hinges due to frame repair needed.  I found him on Angie's list and sent him to do the repair at my parents home.  My mom loved him and was happy with the quickness of the job and how clean the work area was maintained.  Patrick was able to do a repair vs replacing the door.  I would highly recommend Door Dr.

Patrick Stone was a pleasure to work with.  I'm so glad I chose him to help me with my door adjustment problems.  He also gave me great advice on some window issues at no charge and I thought him very generous with his knowledge.  He didn't try to up sell me or make a problem more difficult then it was to raise the bill.  He achieved everything I wanted for a far price.

A 25 year old security door was sagging and very difficult to close. Pat Stone, using a combination of screws and shims, was able to get it to function normally.

Once Pat arrived, the job moved very quickly and smoothly.  He is an excellent craftsman and understands everything there is
to know about doors.  I have a very old house as mentioned above so my doors required special knowledge.  The only down side to Pat is that he is very difficult to schedule.  Because he is so in demand, I waited almost two months for him to come to
my West L.A. home.  It was worth it and I would not hire anyone else to work on my doors.  I gave him an A for responsiveness
not because he was able to do the job when I wanted him to do it but because he was very good about calling me back and keeping me appraised of how his schedule was going.

It went very well.  The work was completed in less than 1/2 hour.  I was relieved that he did not have to take the door off its hinges to make the repair.  This would have made the repair much more expensive.  Mr. Stone was extremely professional and efficient.  I will definitely call him if/when I need additional work on my doors.

Installed a front door with a decorative window at the top. Also installed a back door.  Purchased some good quality door knobs and locks from  the "door doctor" for the doors. Every thing went well, he is very prompt and professional.

The only problem was that I had to wait until he could combine my appointment with someone else's in the area.  That took at least two weeks.  Otherwise, he does great work (I've used him before) and is reasonably priced.

I called Patrick Stone ("The Door Doctor") on Tuesday morning 5/26/2015 and left a message inquiring about repairing my front entry door. Pat returned the call that afternoon and came to look at the problem (interference between the door and threshold). He said a bottom metal strip on the door was damaged and would have to be replaced. We made a repair appointment for Monday 6/1. On Sunday 5/31 I sent him an email advising that I had some other door repair tasks in addition to the entry door. Pat called back that afternoon to indicate he did not have the required repair part for my entry door and he would have to purchase it Monday morning, so he expected to be several hours late. I agreed and said it wasn't a problem. He arrived at 1030 and immediately started work. The repair involved removing the door, removing the old metal strip nailed to the bottom of the door, installing the new strip and remounting the door. Pat had it finished in a half hour. The problem was solved and the door fit perfectly, but the deadbolt lock would not close. The original alignment was marginal, and the repaired door (which was aligned with the door frame) was now out of alignment with the lock strike plate. Pat reamed out the strike plate a small amount and the door and lock now work perfectly.
I also asked Pat to repair a bifold door guide. I had purchased a replacement part but the door had a metal mounting bracket which Pat had to remove in order to use the replacement part. He successfully completed that repair in about 20 minutes and the bifold door now works perfectly.
I also asked Pat if he could repair a sliding screen door which was missing a top roller. He said he couldn't repair those as the roller was not replaceable. I suspected as much but thought it didn't hurt to ask.
Pat did an excellent job of cleaning up the job site, and charged $235 for labor and the entry door part.
Pat is a conscientious and knowledgeable tradesman, and I would certainly hire him again if the need arose.
