From the beginning, I felt Peter could solve all the problems on my list and that the work would be beautiful. He did and it was. Peter is a true professional. His crew are sweethearts, considerate, and aim to please. I was having an open house for the rental unit and in an effort to make the basement look good for the event, the crew removed all their equipment, moved my stuff into the already crowded storage room where they built shelves, organized and consolidated to make it all fit. All unasked for by me. I was completely blown away by that and still revel in the glory of an organized storage room. Where do you find guys like this? When it was time to build the deck I had such confidence in their ability that I just had a basic discussion about what I wanted, picked the type of wood and let them do the rest. The deck is gorgeous. The best part of the process was knowing the job would be done right. That took a lot of the stress out of living with construction. I will look no further for any future work and highly recommend them to all who ask.

They were exceptional. They finished the project a month earlier than expected and they were well within our budget. They were courteous to me and all of my neighbors. They were very cognizant in keeping the project on budget. They worked very well with the architect we used and the architect was very satisfied with the overall project as well. I already have very highly recommended him to others.

He was very efficient. He would come by to check on his crews. Everything went very well. They cleaned up when they were done and I had a minor problem that they fixed them right away. I got bids from 4 contractors. They were close to the lowest bidder and I felt most comfortable with this company.

The experience could not have been better. Mr. Van der Steer is honest, straight forward and professional. He finished the work on time and on budget. In one case, he was dissatisfied with the quality of the flooring after it was initially installed. Without our asking, he tore it out and replaced at no additional cost. He kept us informed throughout the project. He used high quality local subcontractors when necessary, and his own employees were top notch. I have recommended this company to my friends and colleagues.
