About us

Established in 1907 and been serving the San Francisco Bay Area for over 100 years. Work on all types of buildings and install all types of roofing and waterproofing systems on residential and commerical buildings. We have a 24/7 service and maintenace department. We are a union contractor. We do deck coatings, pedestal and paver systems, injection services in addtion to all of the traditional roofing services. We also do design build projects and can also offer consulting services.

They are the most highly professional people I have dealt with. I lived in this house for 35 years and I have had 4-5 roofers come out and it wasn't until I found Lawson that I was satisfied. Their price is high compared to normal standards but the work that they do is guaranteed and they sign contracts. If anytime I have trouble though I can't recall having a problem, they would stand by their work. There was a little problem in the roof and they came out and fixed the problem.

The experience went very well. They said what they were going to do. They gave me a full written description. They were here on time. They cleaned up after themselves. We were very satisfied. The price was a little high compared to other estimates, they were in the middle.

Excellent, professional roofing (as far as I can tell) but poor customer service. My impression is this company is geared toward commercial work. They had been recommended by friends who own commercial buildings. During the big storm in January, the new chimney cover blew off. I left a message with my contact, who didn't respond for 10 days. I called again and finally about three weeks later they repaired everything at no charge. But again, the customer service was lousy.
