Ruben Alverez

We are remodeling the lower level of our San Francisco home to reclaim what used to be the back of the garage. We leveled the floor and added drywall and new windows. We built a closet and some built in storage and rerouted lots of plumbing and vents. The previous crew had built me a crooked wall and Rubens first task was to shim and straighten the wall and reapply the sheetrock. Next he worked with my Finishing Carpenter to build a square soffit around the closet, they made quick work as a team and it looks great. Next he helped her build some custom storage cut outs around the window seat. Ruben was the one bringing all the materials each day and he always left a clean work area at the end of the day. He took the materials to the dump for me and was always ready to do whatever I asked. This made life so much easier for the carpenter and she said that working with Ruben had been great, she was going to use him again for sure. After all the sheetrock, Ruben worked with my painter to do all the mudding and sanding and detailed finishing work. They worked together through the end of the painting. I am going to keep Ruben busy as we work on other areas of the house. He has helped make this remodel more enjoyable which is not easy.
