Hector was able to make it the next morning after I called and promptly repaired the situation.  He took photos to show me what was wrong, and took care of the problem very quickly. The leaking stopped and hasn't reoccurred.
I do need a new roof and I plan on having them do the work.

They were nice and kind.  My feeling was pretty good, they had good references.  The price was average.  They charge $250 per square foot. I would say he seemed nice and honest.

The price was reasonable. I like him because he knows people I know. They work really fast and completed the job really quick.

This project went very well.  This project had a lot of unforeseen "stuff" happen, but the price ended up only 20% more.  Specifically, the original price did NOT include: 1) raising a 10 foot piece of footing at the entrance of the garage; 2) removing an addition cubic yard or so of dirt; and 3) adding an additional floor above the old floor to get the height to an appropriate level so that only a couple of inches of concrete was needed to finish the job on the inside of the garage.
Eduardo Paniagua is the consummate professional.  He is creative and thoughtful; he thinks through a problem and offers several different ways of solving it.  He is very honest and a man of his word.  I have done much of my own construction work as a homeowner, and I was very impressed.  He is an architect, so he has a fine mind which makes a difference when solving problems that come up in big construction projects.  I worked with 2 other contractors on big projects for my home, and Eduardo was the best by far.
Paniagua Construction also has an excellent crew.  Every day they arrived on time or early.  The crew was helpful and answered my many questions.  It was a very dusty and dirty project with lots of heavy concrete and dirt.  Yet, his team kept the work site clean and bearable.  I was very impressed with the crew and gave the head the crew a tip at the end of the job.
Finally, when the job ended there was one little detail that bothered me....some puddling near the footing of the foundation, away from the garage.  This puddling was the result of unevenness in the adjacent sidewalk not on my property; it was not caused by any mistake per se.  Still, I asked Eduardo if he could somehow lessen the puddle formed where the two sidewalks met from the unevenness of the grade.  He did this at no extra charge even though the puddle was not really an issue I had to worry about.  He gave me peace of mind which is one of the reasons why I highly recommend his company.  I have never been completely satisfied with any construction done on my home, but this project was the best to date!

Very well. We had some smoke damage and took the opportunity to upgrade some rental apartments we have.

We had been debating when to change the deck. It was in really bad shape with a lot of dry rot. Eduardo came over and gave us an estimate. We decided to go with him since he offered both the design and build service and his past work was great. His crew were very careful not to hurt our plants--trees and shrubs in the front. They demolished the existing deck, removed the debris promptly and began to frame out the new deck. They tied the new deck to the existing beams jutting out over the garage. The new design gave the house a facelift. The old stucco walled deck was replaced with a treated redwood design that allowed the air flow and redwood spindles the length of the house. Eduardo's crew was very considerate and left their work area clean every day. In two weeks they were done and were painting the deck to match the house. We have enjoyed the deck all year long and have gotten a lot of compliments. Several neighbors have now had Eduardo redo their decks as well.
