O'Grady Plumbing

It wasn’t cheap, too much.

They are flexible. They are overly communicative (in a good way) and they answer the phone and respond to my progress inquiries. Paul O'Grady takes an active role in his projects, which is appreciated.

I'm not happy with their service. They just don't seem that really care much about the job. They're really just kind of interested in like doing the minimum and getting paid for it. I don't think they're really interested in up selling you in anything. They're not gonna investigate something going further in and kind of just dive into it. They're not very professional. They just seemed miserable, everybody in that company seemed miserable.

They were reliable, fair, and did what they said they were going to do.

I hired another plumber to replace my gas lines (I interviewed many) and I had to hire someone to fix the ceiling which cost another $600.

I called O'Grady for an emergency back-up in my home's main plumbing line, with water leaking from pipes on the lower level of the house. They sent someone out quickly; and he was very pleasant and professional in his manner; however - after 2 1/2 hours, he could not fix the problem using a rooter and water pressure. He told me that it was likely a city problem at the juncture where the sewer meets the house line. I paid them $325; but I still had the back-up. I then called the City of SF PUC, who came out the same day and inspected the sewer up to the trap, flushed it out clean; and told me there was no problem on the city side. I called O'Grady back. The guy came out again and this time he ran a larger water pressure rooter to clean out the line. That didn't work, so he used the camera to try and locate the problem - but told me he couldn't see it on the camera because the line was backed up with water. He then didn't know what else to try, other than recommending I think about replacing the sewer from the house to the street. I had to pay $500 for the second trip (less a partial credit for the first visit) - and still no resolution. He said he would have the owner check the tape, and then have the owner call me and come out himself. I didn't hear from the owner, so I called them first thing the next morning, but never heard back from the owner until 3 days later, despite my having called back at least 3 additional times. The owner told me that the message had been misplaced on the desk. Prior to the owner calling me back, I had called another plumbing company - they came out, and within 30 minutes located the problem (by approaching the house line from the front of the house, instead of the back of the house, as O'Grady had done). It was fixed in less than an hour. So, with O'Grady I paid a few hundred dollars for 3 days of aggravation, and ended up being left hanging without ever having the problem fixed. I will never use them again.

They were a referral from a friend of mine. They did come and give me a quote ahead of time. They were very professional. They had two workers as demolition takes a lot.

Paul came out on Friday to explain the job to Brendan and James. On Monday, Brendan and James and two other crew members came out and worked all day digging. On Tuesday, they laid out the pipes and then put all the dirt back in the ground. We were worried that we could not use our toilets for a couple of days but it was only for half a day on Tuesday. By end of the day Tuesday, it was completed. They poured the concrete on Thurs. and Friday (only because the concrete folks forgot to do the concrete in the garage). Really quick, simple and not disruptive at all. Much less painful than I had anticipated. They also moved a bunch of stuff in the garage for us in order to do the job. Really professional and Paul was always a phone call away. I only wished the clean up was faster.

Call them. They're the best!

We had plumbers from O'Grady come over to repair a leaking toilet. Repeated calls, toilet was still not fixed correctly. Plumber from another company came over and fixed it first time out. Price is approximate cost over several visits.

Robert was on time and polite. Water heater installation was not to code no pan and safety blowoff not to daylight. Not explained during walk through and estimate. Exterior hose bib, good job except for extra hole in siding that was plugged with silicone. Charged $87.50 for diagnostic on low kitchen water pressure, never found problem, suggested $500 new faucet. Problem turned out to be water saver valve that neighbor located in a couple of minutes. Biggest disappointment was no follow-up by company to see if we were satisfied. Still looking for a plumbing company.

THEY ARE LIKE ANY OTHER PLUMBERS. THEY DO A GOOD JOB BUT ARE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE. THEY DO CLEAN UP ANY MESS THAT THEY MAKE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT ENOUGH TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I AM SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES.

I HAVE HAD A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH O'GRADY PLUMBING. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY COURTEOUS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. THEY WERE ON TIME AND THEY WERE VERY CLEAN. THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB.

THE PLUMBER IS VERY GOOD. THE WORK WAS DONE TO MY SATISFACTION AND THE WORK WAS DONE ON TIME. I HAVE HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE WATER HEATER. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS VERY HIGH.
