I decided to work with Northwest security because their monthly monitorinf fees were much more reasonable than ADT. I had a good feeling about the company after talking to them on the phone. This was reinforced after the installer Steve Nielson did the work. They returned to change our phone line, and again the work was great. The original work was in November 2012.

Excellent. Linda, Steve, Petar and everyone at Northwest Security are fantastic. It's great to deal with a local SF based company that puts customer service first. They answered all my questions and helped put together a solution that best fit my needs. They are not the cheapest but very reasonably priced and the service was top notch.
I shopped and compared them vs. ADT, Brinks, Vivint and all of the big companies. What is great is that they don't try to oversell you what you don't need. I would recommend Northwest Security highly!

It went very well, very punctual, hassle free and both the installer and office service was excellent. Petar discussed what I needed and installed the system. He was helpful and knowledgable. Linda in the office was very helpful with my questions and emails and was very pleasant to work with.

Steve and Linda are fantastic. So nice dealing with a local business - no automated phone tree or call center - real people! They came to inspect the building and provided a realistic estimate - they do all the work themselves - no sketchy sub contractors. Professional installation - they wired the boxes between both units so we could save on monthly service fees. The keypads, doors, window sensors were installed perfectly out of sight and mounted within the walls.
The monthly fee is very reasonable and no long-term contracts. Very pleased with Northwest. Outstanding job!

I am very pleased with the work performed. Steve and Linda were great in coordinating the work and suggesting additional sensors.
We ended up replacing the main control panel, as well as all of the motion detectors. In addition, we added sensors to just about all of our windows, as well as installed breaking-glass sensors.
Not only were they responsive and professional, but they had no problem with the fact that we elected not to use their monthly monitoring services (we are being monitored directly through our police department).

It is a small locally owned company. The service is very good. The installation was done quickly. They showed up on time and were on budget. They explained the system to us. The installation itself was done well. They are one of the very, very few alarm company that will not lock you into a 3-year contract. We are basically free to go whenever we want. Their pricing is cheaper than everyone else. The price and quality was excellent.

Overall the job went very well. The owner himself came over. He was able to adjust his schedule to meet my needs late at night after my work schedule. He matched rates of another company and gave me the best rates and customer service. I did not see reviews of him on Angie's List but got good reviews on him from another source. It was the best price I could get but it was still expensive.
