This went very well. We set an appointment two days before, and they showed up within the one hour time frame. Diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired it in the same visit. Very courteous and respectful of my family and home. Total time took about 3 hours which seemed about right. Would definitely use again.

I called NorCal Refrig. hoping to get someone to come out that same day to hopefully avoid the food in the frig. going bad. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and willingness to have someone come over right away. While they didn't get over as fast as they said they would it was still within a couple of hours of my call. The service man Albert was very nice and accomodating and got right to work. He quickly identified what he thought the problem was, the automatic defrost not working. Quoted the repair. I agreed to the price and he changed out the two parts, the timer control and the defrost thermostat. He was very confident that he had the problem addressed. I was happy. However, after a day or so it became apparent that the repair had only marginally improved the frigs. operation. It still could just barely make ice after longer than it should take and the refrigerator temperature was cool not cold at the Max cold settings. Had the repair worked I would have given them an A rating. What bothered me on this service was the over confidence that the repair was complete. I spent $300 and now I don't want to call them back as I imagine it being another $300 and they will be sure again it is fixed. The receipt clearly states that the 90 day warranty was only for this job. I'm sure if he came back he would say he found another unrelated problem that is not under the warranty for the original work. I am not the kind of person to argue with a repairman that him coming back should be covered. If he had insisted that if the refrigerator did not work for any reason within the next 90 days call him back and he will fix it no charge I would have called. We have decided to buy a new efficient refrigerator rather than spend more on this one, something I considered initially.

Called and set up an appointment a day or two in advance. When the company did not show up in a reasonable window of time (i.e. the appointment was at 10 am); I called at 11 am to confirm. Was told that they were busy and would come by later that afternoon. Received a call after business hours, but did not connect with them despite repeated calls the next day. At present, still have not received any definitive service information, and have decided to pursue working with other service providers.

I found them on Angie's list. He was excellent, he did it quickly, got right to the problem and knew what he was doing. He didn't have to mess around with anything, he had all the right tools and did a great job. I felt confident with him, I'd certainly use him again and recommend him. He is dependable, reliable and honest. He's a hardworking guy. I thought the price was very fair for what he did. He came over very quickly, in fact I was amazed with how quickly he was able to get out here. He was very professional.

i have had this problem before and the repair men usually thaw out the frozen fan and put it back together. in 3 months the ice builds up again and i lose a freezer full of food. nor cal installed a heater designed for another ge refrigerator which will, hopefully, solve the problem.

Frank and his apprentice came over within 2 hours of having called them, diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes, and had it fixed within the hour. They were friendly, professional, clean, and did an excellent job overall.

I called Nor Cal as the landlord and they had to coordinate with my tenant to set-up the visit. The tenant wasn't as responsive as I would have liked, but Nor Cal called me back to say they had been unable to reach the tenant (points for perseverance). Finally got the visit arranged and they diagnosed and repaired the problem on the spot. It was a little more expensive than I would have liked, but was still far less expensive than buying a new fridge, so I shouldn't complain.

We were given a two hour window of 9am - 11am for an appointment. However, 11am came and went, we still hadn't heard from the repair technician. I left a message at both numbers I had. About 90 minutes later, I received a call that said that he was running late, and that he would be by shortly. He showed up late in the afternoon (after 2pm) and mentioned that an earlier job had taken longer than he expected and he couldn't just leave the refrigerator in pieces. When he arrived, he seemed to know what he was doing. The situation was complicated by the fact that this is a rental unit, and the tenant was dealing with the repairmain. He called me with an estimate and asked for approval to go ahead with the work. It was within the range that I was willing to pay for a repair, and authorized the work. He finished the work the same day. The tenant was happy that the work was skillfully done, but put out by the missed appointment.

I called Nor Cal first thing in the morning and was told by Frank that he would give me a call some time between 2 and 4PM when he was leaving his last job and on his way to my home for the repair. He called around 3:30, was at our home about 4, quickly diagnosed the problem, and repaired our refrigerator. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, neat, and very pleasant.

Frank at Nor Cal is a superstar. An appliance store declared that my was dishwasher was dead, however Frank at Nor Cal investigated and found that the problem was really very minor. He was able to fix it on the first visit. Frank was very courteous and thoroughly professional. Highly recommend this company.

Bad start. I called to make an appointment and was told someone would be here between 12pm and 2:20. At 3pm, I called and they had no record of my having called. It was rescheduled for the next day. George arrived promptly, was professional, competent and apologetic about the mix-up.

Repairman answered his phone promptly, made a prompt appointment (same day!), and was able to order parts and finish repairs quickly at a fair price. Before finishing work, he gave a fair estimate and stuck to it. I would definitely recommend them for future work.

THE GUY WAS VERY LEGITIMATE, THOROUGH, AND HONEST. I THOUGHT WHAT HE CHARGED WAS NOT HIGHWAY ROBBERY. THE GASKET IS OLD, AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. THE SERVICE MAN FIXED THE DOOR, AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE DOOR CLOSES BETTER THAN IT DID BEFORE.
