My Doctor Medical Group is a primary care, urgent care, addiction medicine and travel medicine practice in San Francisco dedicated to serving the community by providing easy access to the best medical doctors in a pleasant, personalized and professional setting. We also offer other specialized services including "quant coaching" using self tracking technology to facilitate lifestyle change and weight loss, addiction treatment using Suboxone, house calls, geriatric care, second opinions for complex cases, and integrative medicine consultation. We have a psychotherapist, addiction counselor, quant coach and registered dietician on staff. Our doctors are on staff with admitting privileges at California Pacific Medical Center. Our medical director, Dr. Paul Abramson, is a graduate of Stanford University and UCSF School of Medicine, and is also a Graduate Senior Fellow from Dr. Andrew Weil's Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Currently Dr. Abramson is the primary medical doctor for the practice, and we utilize a network of top specialist referrals to provide comprehensive care. Dr. Abramson has traveled widely and also has experience as a competitive runner and cyclist. We operate as a "direct medical practice," meaning that your doctor works directly for you without conflicts of interest. In this model payment is due at the time of service and is based on time spent by the doctor and complexity of the medical situation. We can then submit an electronic claim to your insurance "out of network" or give you a receipt for you to submit yourself. How much you will recover depends on your insurance policy terms and deductibles, but can be as much as 80% for PPO insurance or 100% for international travelers insurance and out-of-area HMOs.
