+ -1 moreWe jumped through his hoops to no avail. In the end Michael Mullin made it impossible to use any of the $25K in work he did for us, saying he "lost" the files we needed. Since then we have hired another architect who did ALL the work for $7K. We have CD's, elevations, permits, blueprints, and planning approval all included in that fee. We feel Michael Mullins cheated us since we finished with nothing to show from him but lost money.
Description of Work: We hired Michael as an architect to split our single family home into a duplex. The design sketches he did were good, but when we ask for an itemized accounting of the really big bills he'd make excuses and ignore the emails saying no one ever asks for that. When we decided that we didn't like his poor communication skills and shady invoices we hired another architect. That architect asked us if we had received CD's, blueprints, a DWG file, anything for $25K? We hadn't so went back to Michael asking about it. A number of emails went back and forth where Michael told us he owned all the work and we couldn't use it without spending $1000 with his lawyer first.
