 + -1 moreIt went very well! Mauricio did a great job. I need to explain the "B" rating for quality. I am a design professional, and know the difference between a very good job and one that is truly high-end. Mauricio is very good! I knew that I wanted a value upholsterer (I can't afford the people my clients use!), someone who would make my old sofa look great, and he did. Mauricio really cared about the work he did, and it is obvious, not only in the quality of the detailing, but in the pride he felt once the job was complete. I have already passed his name on to a colleague who asked for a referral.
Description of Work: I needed a 20-year-old sofa re-covered.

Description of Work: Called Mauricio, set up appointment at our apartment to get an estimate on reupholstering 4 dining room chairs. Arrived promptly, estimated $90. per chair for his work: new foam cushion, piped edging, boxed shape. Mauricio suggested a fabric store in SF to look at upholstery material - fabulous spot! After a lengthy stay, including lunch offered us by the owner, we selected 4 yards of fabric, the amount Mauricio said were needed for the 4 chairs. Fabric had to be ordered and sent to us; when it arrived I called Mauricio to arrange a pickup time. He came at the appointed day and time, took away the chairs and the fabric, said he would return the completed work within 2 weeks - and so he did. The chairs look fantastic; he did a wonderful job. If ever I have any other upholstering needs I certainly would use his services. and would recommend him most highly.

 + -1 moreI got his name from the upholstery fabric store where I had purchased the fabric for the work. He arrived within one day, inspected the three items, made an estimate for labor and materials, did the work within three weeks. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. He was knowledgeable and very gracious.
Description of Work: Reupholster two custom ottomans replacing foundation material (down to wood and wire), adding skirts & self binding, and making matching seat pillows (he charged $375 for each). I provided the fabric; he provided all the webbing & padding. Made a seat pad that measured about 36 x18 x3 inches, provided foam etc, did welting (charged $75). I provided the fabric. Delivery charges were included in the services.
