We purchased a home theater system plus built-in speakers and amps for multiple rooms, including pre-wiring and installation, as part of a major remodel. The pre-wiring was sloppy and our contractor had to reset the speaker mounts. When arranging installation of our components, our salesman told us they wouldn't connect the home theater to our TV unless we purchased the TV at "H of M". Fortunately the manager intervened and our TV was connected. Unfortunately when the whole system was connected, we had 21 useless wires coming out of the wall arranged in large coils (H of M told us to "stuff them in the wall, we do it all the time"). That's when we learned they over-wired the house. H of M then wrongly connected the cheapest speakers to the most expensive amps, and mis-wired one set of speakers causing 2 consecutive amps to blow out. It took 3 months for them to fix all the mistakes, including a 3 week period when they told us they were too busy to fix our non-functional speakers.
Description of Work: As part of an extensive home remodel we had a home theater system installed, including multi-room speaker installation.
