HI TECH HARDWOOD FLOORS

The flexibility and quality stood out. They did exactly what they would do, and they did it well.

My experience with Hi Tech Hardwood Floors was fine. The representative seemed very knowledgeable. 

High Tech Hardwood did an excellent job of preparing the space for the work, including moving furniture (I moved all of the small items), and masking off areas to protect from dust.  They came back afterwards and dusted the house and put felt protectors on the bottom of most of the furniture to protect from scratches.
The work was done efficiently and with a lot of care and was completed a little earlier than planned.  We were very pleased with the results.

His estimate was higher and there was also a language barrier issue. Communication was a little difficult. We would probably not consider him for another estimate in the future.

It was great.  They came promptly and got the job done well. 

From the beginning Andy Tran (owner) was very responsive. The added convenience of having his office/showroom be about 10 blocks away from my residence is also a plus. I do not have a lot of first-hand knowledge about the type of floors best-suited for my condo and he gave me a wide range of options as well as gave me frank opinions about his recommendations. Andy and his team were always punctual and professional. He was also very hands-on, working with his team instead of just taking in orders. They left my place cleaner than when they came in, and YES...I would trust him to do more work around my house.

I did not like the fact that he was not appreciative of my 100 year old flooring.

I found them on Angie's List. They set the appointment within four to six weeks of getting started and it only took three days to complete the job. They were busy because they are good. They moved the furniture when they needed to and cleaned up well. It was a positive experience, overall.

The owner, Andy Tran, came to the house to evaluate the job and give an estimate on the very same day I contacted him. He was prompt, courteous and seemingly very knowledgeable. He explained what he would do and why he had to do it that way. A competing company we'd interviewed wanted to install brand new planks to replace the old ones. Andy brought wood that had been previously installed elsewhere but that was still in good shape and it blended in perfectly with the rest of our floor. The only nit I might pick is with the slight gaps between the new planks, which Andy filled with some kind of compound, as in places it didn't quite fill the entire gap. But the job was in a corner of the room where no one will ever notice and overall it looks quite good. The installation of hardwood floor requires return trips, and we ended up leaving a key for Andy. He is a trustworthy and responsible guy. (A competitor quoted us $500 for the same job, but we still went with Andy.)

The work was completed on schedule at the contracted price. The area was left clean and ready for our move-in. The floors are absolutely beautiful. Since we negotiated this installation from across the state, before we moved to the San Francisco area, we relied heavily on the flooring company to provide the homeowners association management with all the necessary assurances and consideration for other condo owners. Many of the neighbors have expressed interest in contracting with Hi Tech Floors to convert their units to hardwood floors, also. We definitely recommend Mike Tran and his dad Andy, to anyone interested in truly improving their home or condo with beautiful wood floors.

They did a very nice job and were very thorough. They answered a number of questions we had. They were prompt and professional. We arranged for them to install the floors when we were on vacation. They cleaned up well when the project was completed. Their price was favorable compared to others.
