Secured an next-day appointment, Carlos showed up early for the appointed time, diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a 1/2 hr, then checked the exhaust duct and made some adjustment.  The cost was extremely reasonable.  If we need appliance repair in the future we will call them.

He was on time, super pleasant and had all of the tools and items needed for the job. We have a lot of stairs - I hate it when a repair man keeps running up and down to get his tools. It was done quickly, without making a mess in my kitchen. He even put back the food when the job was done.

He was 15 minutes early. My dryer was heating nor drying my laundry. He looked at the dryer and within 15 to 20 minutes later he diagnosed the problem as a dryer sensor. He left for an hour and he returned with a dyer sensor part. The drydr works great.

Carlos gave us a time range between 2pm and 4pm and showed up promptly at 2pm. He provided a replacement fan which was cheaper than the price quoted by the local appliance parts store and had our refrigerator up and running in no time. He was professional and courteous and even helped us reattach a loose part on our dishwasher at no additional charge. Would certainly call him again if we needed an appliance repaired.

Everything is working again and we are very pleased with this service.

My oven stopped working at 8:30pm the day before Thanksgiving. I left a message for Golden Gate that night and asked for service for that Friday. Friday morning, Golden Gate called and I was scheduled to have service that afternoon. The repairman was very professional. In less than an half an hour, my oven was working once again. Carlos and his assistant arrived promptly and had the problem diagnosed and were working on it before I could get down to the garage! I have used this company for many years. Carlos has been the repairman I have had (now owner?) and the repair was done very quickly and efficiently as usual. He always has a pleasant attitude besides!

My experience with them wasn't so bad. Their pricing was good and the service they did was excellent. I would still have them repair my appliances in the future if it requires.

My Whirlpool gas dryer stopped working 10 days ago but I didn't know at first that it was broken because I was able to turn it on and the clothes were being tumbled. But after trying 3 times to get my clothes dry, I realize there wasn't any heat! I looked in the Yellow Pages and saw Golden Gate Appliance Repairs listed and gave them a call. I also called two other places for estimates.
I wasn't sure who was more reliable, so that's when I looked at Angie's List. That's where I saw that Golden Gate Appliance had a lot of good reviews and that customers were pleased with the prices. The receptionist was going to send out a repairman the following day but I told them I was going to be out Wednesday so we scheduled it for Thursday 8-10 am.

On Thursday, Carlos came on time and in 15 minutes, he was done! He showed me the piece that was broken and said it was a common problem that happens after years of usage. My family has had this dryer for at least 10 yrs. if not longer so I'm very happy I don't have to replace it!

By the way, someone should update the address of Golden Gate Appliances Repair as they're no longer on Grant Avenue in San Francisco! They've moved to their location in Daly City since the beginning of 2012, at least that's what I thought the receptionist told me but their phone numbers are still the same.

He comes really quickly. He has all the equipment he needs in his truck so he can repair things right then and he doesn't go over the top.

I use Golden Gate all the time. They are really good. The price was quite reasonable. They are pretty honest, always dependable and fix everything. They came right out when I needed them. They are always wonderful!

Easy to reach by phone, arrived in the time window specified, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up afterwards, was pleasant to have in the house, fixed the dishwasher in a remarkably short time. He was very knowledgeable. Knew right off what the problem was. Replaced the coils controlling the gas heater in the dryer and was done within 15-20 minutes.

They are very friendly, they didn't over charge, and the experience was great.
