Having never hired an architect we were a little nervous at first - it sounded expensive. We had a simple kitchen remodel and wanted it done simply, but well, and without headaches. We were also cost- conscious and on a short schedule. Lee understood our needs and took care of things for us. He had a lot of great ideas and was prompt and knowledgeable. With his help we wound up saving time and money and also got a very nice kitchen. We were very satisfied and will definately call him before we do anything else when we're ready to do our next projec

Lee Hammack performed all the architectural services for our house remodeling project from initial conception through to final approval. Throughout, Lee was professional and business-like. He was straightforward and did everything he said he would do. As it was our first remodeling project, he kept us informed of everything as it was happening, and warned of potential "gotchas". Architecturally, Lee had many creative ideas, yet always worked collaboratively with our ideas. He was pragmatic and detail-oriented. When problems or challenges arose, he informed us and involved us in the resolution. His experience helped to guide our project through the city permitting process. Overall, the project was a success. We had none of the horror stories usually associated with house remodels. We did a lot of re-design with Lee prior to beginning the work. As a result, the design that went out to the contractor for bid was very close to what was finally built. As a result, the project completed within the initial estimates (provided by Lee) and within the contractor's bid. It also completed on schedule. We would recommend Lee to anyone pursuing work on their home -- whether it is a small or large project.
