Don Buckter Painting

Don took extra time to properly repair and prep. Sent photos as I live out of town.
He did an excellent job. I'm pleased and would use him again.

This is the second time we used Bob, and the second review I've provided him, he's great. You can see the result of his work, use google maps to view 806 Arkansas St, in 94107. Google maps drops you off on Madera, so navigate a few feet east to Arkansas St, then look at the second house down on the left (north), it's dark and medium green. We're right across the street from the rec center.
There's a lot of detailed color work (trim, etc.) you can't see, but trust me, it's there and looks great. We were so happy with his work we engaged him for color coordination of the back of the house.
Every time I come home I love looking at our house.

Our son finally went off to college so we decided to redo his bedroom into a guest room. The floors and walls looked like a battle zone. We needed to coordinate painting and floor refinishing. We obtained three estimates for the painting. Don's estimate was in the middle, but we had a good feeling about him and gave him the job. We weren't disappointed. The logistics of floor refinishing and repainted was a little tricky, but Don and his crew were great. Don advised us to start with the floor refinishers, but hold off on the final floor coat. At that point Don and his crew came in and did the painting. When they were finished the floor crew came back for the final floor coat. Finally Don came by at the very end to touch up anything that was needed (nothing was needed). Everything went according to plan, and the room looks great. Any time we have another paint job to do, Don Buckter and his crew will get a call.

I needed some basic painting on short notice and on a very tight schedule — between when a renter had moved out and when a new renter was scheduled to come in. I didn't have the budget or the time for anything too fancy, so I assumed I was toast, but I called all the top places in town anyway to ask for their recommendations. One of them put me in touch with Don Buckter. Don was immediately responsive on the phone and followed up with a gracious e-mail that included photos of his past work. He scheduled an estimate visit on extremely short notice, helped me decide on the proper finishes, and drew up a fair quote on the spot. Don managed the whole process, finished ahead of schedule, solicited my feedback to make sure I was satisfied, and his work met my expectations. Most importantly, he was so nice. I really felt like he was taking care of me, and wanted to make sure I was pleased -- which I definitely was. I've already referred Don to a colleague, and when we do more painting he's the first person I'll call. What a guy.
