Excellent. Paul said to bring the car by and he would get the tire patched quickly and get me going. As always, Paul and his team followed through as they always do. I really like how he takes the time to review their work performed and findings as to possible future work.

Clear proposal of work and possible remedies. Now my car is free from rattles and quiet as new, I can refuel with no problem, and can use the air conditioning wiith no fumes (no one else had been able to fix these). They worked quickly, kept me advised by phone of the progress and charges. Their explanation in laymen's terms of final bill was detailed and easy to understand.

Paul and William are gentlemen and fine mechanics, the shop is immaculate, and I'm pleased my old car will get excellent care here for a few more years

They have been caring for my cars for over 10 years. I find them extremely honest and easy to work with. They are extremely conscientious. Definitely use them.

Car broke down in New Orleans. After two weeks of dealing with the dealer who was waiting for parts, we pulled the car out of the dealer and towed it back to San Francisco. The dealer indicated the bill would be in excess of $4,700. The parts that the dealer needed turned out to not be needed when Cowden repaired the car. The money saved paid for the u-haul truck and car trailer. Probably saved even more as I am sure the dealer in New Orleans would have replaced other parts that were not needed.

Paul Cowden was polite and professional on the phone. His advice was easy to follow. I arrived with tow truck and they took my car right away. Answered all my questions, fully and easily., quoted a price, and finished on time and on budget.

I am picking up the car today. We've always used them for a lot of services for our cars. Their prices are normally reasonable. They do paid services and clean work. They have very honest mechanics and it's really hard to find someone like that.

He is great. He is located in downtown San Francisco so when you have to pay that kind of rent you have to pay overheads. The rent and the overheads add up to a higher price. The man himself is immaculate, responsive, and kind. He is spectacular in that way and it is a great garage. It is a very comfortable experience all the way around. He is not highest end, but he is higher than some others. We absolutely would use him again in the future.

Due to dealer closures, needed to find a good auto shop. Used Angie's List to find Cowden. After visiting the shop, I was impressed and later called for an appointment. They were able to take my car on a timely basis. Before the work, they inspected the car and walked me through what was proposed and how that compared to the manufacturer recommendation. I received a call when they found two tires that needed replacing. At pick up, they walked me through what had been performed. I was very pleased with the work, pricing and level of service. This is a definite A+ in my book.

Called a few days before X-mas and they told me I could bring in the car right away. The staff, especially Hector and Paul Cowden himself, are both so courteous and gracious! Everything about the place is a cut above every other place I've gone. The place is really clean, the waiting room is comfortable, the conversation before service was really thorough. The car was actually ready hours before I expected. Before I left, they readjusted my windshield squirter's and sent me happily on my way.

I have recommended to numerous people and always get great feedback. This place is CLEAN. And Paul Cowden and employees are friendly, informative. Paul always lets me know if a repair can wait ... and when it can't. I trust him completely. Since I am a used car driver I need a good mechanic who I can count on. Paul is it. My current car has 250,000 miles on it and Paul has serviced it since 70,000. He serviced the one before that from 75,000 to 150,000. I would not go anywhere else.

Paul takes the time to explain in great detail (with visual aids), what is wrong with your vehicle. He is also very honest.

They called me and said that the sprayed the steering wheel with WD-40, but the squeak might come back. It would cost a lot to take out the airbag and look and further, but it was my choice. I decided against it. The rest of the work was done as promised.

They are very trustworthy. They explain everything they are doing. They squeeze me in when I need help. The facilities are clean and the mechanics are very friendly. Paul Cowden especially is a real nice guy. They specialize in foreign cars.

As usual Paul reviewed the car's paper history and asked how things had been going on. I bring it in early at 7:30 and pick it up late in the afternoon. They are quite thorough noting that I had a burned out tail light which they replaced. They had noted that the front tires were wearing out at the outer edges and we talked about that. They provide good service to me and to my car.

I have used Cowden Automotive for some time now, even though it is a bit of a drive for me. Their service is reliable and their personnel is knowledgeable and pleasant. The service I receive there is wonderful and I would give them a very high rating in all regards. I only wish they were closer to me.

The mechanic was wonderful. I have used them for 20 years now and they are the cleanest mechanics around. They never try to con you out of your money and they are very truthful when it comes to the diagnostic of the car. They take great care of your car like it was their own.

It turned out that the things for which I had brought the car in were not a problem or did not need immediate action. The car was ready for pick-up the same day and Paul once again was very thorough when letting me know what they found and what actions would be needed in the future. Other pluses in my view: Clean/pleasant shop and very convenient to my condo. The labor cost was not cheap ($120/hour) but based on my experience so far, it was worth it.

It is remarkable the pride the employees take in their building. Considering it is a garage, the place is spotless with painted white floors and well organized. They truly value customer satisfaction, fairness and honesty. They are typically closed on Fridays which was new to me. On a Friday, I stopped by the business and the owner was inside. He opened the doors and evaluated the situation so the window and hinge parts could be ordered. The cost was for labor only.

Paul was great. They gave me a detailed estimate, showed me the old parts, repaired the car within the time required. It was a great experience. I have been going to Cowden since the early 80's and have never been disappointed.
