CALPLUMBING

We recently bought a new house, an older property with some deferred
maintenance and some oddly performed maintenance.  One of the things we
immediately wanted to take care of was a new washer/dryer, esp. a
gas-powered dryer (not electric).  We wanted to make sure the gas line
in the garage was active, and if so if a new gas pipe would be installed
to accommodate a dryer.  Mike came over and checked out the gas line,
which was indeed active, and quickly checked our heating element
(furnace).  He noticed something odd (i.e., oddly installed furnace
exhaust) and made a suggestion - we will have to have him back to follow
through on his suggestion.  Anyway, he came to install a dryer gas line
so he left to get the necessary supplies, and returned about 20 minutes
later.  It took him about 15-20 minutes to install and then perform a
check on the new installation.  All in all, a great job done... and especially timely considering we were to get our new washer and dryer the following day!

We bought a house with baths in bad shape but had hard time finding a plumber for our non-urgent job, a friend gave me Mike's # and Mike came out on fairly short notice to work on the first bathroom and came back 2 days later to do the 2nd one and snake our drainpipe. He called to let us know how it went since we were not home the 2nd time and gave us some good advice on what we needed to have a roofer look at on the other end of the drain as well. Mike worked efficiently and thoroughly and spent a bit less than a full day total at our place to get all that work done on 2 bathrooms and on our drainpipe. Mike noticed the galvanized fittings and checked all our through wall fittings on all plumbing. Good thing, the wall thickness on the one behind the toilet was virtually nothing but rust, it was about ready to blow out--behind the shutoff angle bracket no less, he replaced them all for us and I'm glad he caught that considering we only called him to install new faucets! Very thorough!
